The chiostro and the garden almost force contemplation .....surely the intention of the builders . Surrounded by lemons, oranges and mandarins still hanging on the trees, listening to the birds it is easy to feel time stops here.

We visited the chiostro first and were received very friendly by the nuns who explained a little bit and then told us that we can look everywhere but not to take photos. Specially beautiful is the part behind the grille looking into the church. I...More

Even on Easter Sunday, it wasn't too busy. The church is quite lavish but it was the courtyard which impressed me most .It is a working religious community, the nuns were so sweet and welcoming. There is no entrance fee but I would encourage visitors...More

A beautiful church which is ornately decorated. It’s located in a side street, but is worth seeking out.

Very nice chiesa. We were amazed by all paintings, sculptures and gold everywhere. Also the gold organ was amazing. Small minus is for woman who shout on tourists to not take pictures. It is little bit disturbing but I understand she has to.

The main church of this monastery is located on the street, but if you take the gate closer to the san lorenzo, you end up in the courtyard of the monastery. From here you can see the lovely statue and the upper part of the...More

Sumptuous decoration for Baroque aficionados. Fits in nicely with the street outside known as Christmas alley where everything you will ever need, or can possibly think of, for your Christmas crib is available.
