One gets there by funicular (1,10€ ticket) and then pays 5€ for the ticket to visit the castle which has an exhibition area with modern pieces, nothing historic... The view is nice but one expects more when up there; a bit of information about the...More

Awesome, breathtaking. When I visited there were renovations being made however I still enjoyed the beautiful parts of the castle that were accessible. Gorgeous art works on the celings that are so intricate and breath taking. Wont spoil it for others by giving too much...More

It's a good trek, even with the Funicular, Central line, but, by all the gods of travelling, is it worth it. It's a great edifice with stunning views, absolutely fantastic ones in 360° vision. All of this beautiful city lies below you. You are almost...More

You can see the whole city from up here, it is a stunning view. The surrounding area is beautiful and it is also quite easy to reach from the city with the funicular.

As one of the highest points in Naples, this castle provides excellent 360-degree views over the city and surrounding area. It is well organised and signposted within the grounds and, due to partial closure on our visit, a reduced fee. If you get an Artecard...More

If you can find Castel Sant'Elmo, you're already doing well. The lack of signs to the entrance is really quite impressive. It's as though they neither care for your custom, nor want it. If you can keep a sense of humour, you'll be ok. There...More

The only interesting thing is the view which is really amazing. The cable car can take you up to the top after what 5€ is the cost of the entrance. Nothing else to see beside the view. My advice is to visit by night time...More

This castle was really cool. There was a contemporary art thing but it was not the reason to go visit. The reason to go visit is the 360 degree view of the city of Naples. It is marvelous, from the water to the old city...More

I'm not sure because it's a no working day in Italy, but I guess so. Opening hours from 8.30am to 7.30 pm but the ticket shop closes at 6.30.
