Initially we didn't plan to visit this castel, however we got offered a pretty good deal for a guided tour and decided to give it a go. We paid 5€ each (with student discount) and enjoyed pretty much a personal tour because there was only...More

We visited the castle and had a guided tour in the dungeon of the castle. Though, the tour was mainly focused on the castle itself, because it seemed that there wasn't much to tell about the dungeon.

A very pleasant surprise as we literally were not planning on this but couldn’t resist after a cordial and tempting greeting by Tonia. She guided us, for just about an hour, through the history, light and magic of this castel which was built during the...More

My fiancé and I had a very brief visit to Castel Nuovo and we really enjoyed it. It’s an outstanding building with incredibly history and if you are visiting Naples then this is a must visit for anyone who is interested in history and culture.

We decided to visit this imposing fort, after giving it a pass on previous Napoli visits. As it turned out, it was probably good that we waited until now, or there wouldn't have been much to see! We went inside to have a look, and...More

I was in Naples with my husband and we joined this tour in the castle that ends in an amazing roof top view of the city! The guide Sara was very entusiastic and the history of the castle is very interesting. Super worth the visit!

impressive fortress castle between the main town and the sea. You cant miss it with its blackened stone. One of two worth seeing in Naples.

Castel Nuovo is an imposing medieval castle in the center of town. Exploring it was great, but so little of it appeared to be open to visitors, perhaps because it was November. There was actually a brochure here, compared to the Castel dell'Ovo and the...More

Explore the exterior of the castle which is impressive but don’t bother paying to go inside the courtyard or interior as there is nothing here of any interest.

You can certainly take photos here; if you go to see the underground excavations you will benefit from a flash. Be aware though that this is a fort - there aren't the lavish interiors that you would expect to see in a... More
