The main reason people visit the Capella is to see Sammartino's veiled Christ. Surely that is the most compelling piece in the museum, but by no means is it the only thing to see and learn from. After visiting Sansevero I developed a respect for...More

This tiny museum is on a back street of Naples. When you walk in it takes your breath away and there in the centre is the “Veiled Christ” I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn’t dreaming, that I was actually there looking...More

In the chapel you can see the Veiled Christ, one of the most breathtaking sculptures I have ever seen. The chapel itself is quite small but gorgeously painted. Unfortunately you can't take photos inside.

Small chapel, centro storico, a veiled christ in marble that really astounds by its finesse, and other sculptures. One of them is a character cloaked in a fishnet. That fishnet on its own is a carving masterpiece ! Creepy but not less surpising en misterious...More
