The exterior is rather modest, but the glories are inside. On a recent Adriatic cruise we were guided through many a church, but this one we found on our own and it was the most beautiful of the bunch. The marble is stunning enough, but...More
What a beautiful place! From the outside the building does not look anything special but once inside, it is so peaceful. It is highly decorated and very ornate - don’t forget to look up too! Well worth a visit.
Inconspicuous chapel you would miss if you carried on walking, but stop and take a look, breathtaking,I’m not a religious person but I appreciated the artwork and beauty of the statues and altar, stunning

Answer: too many to count. I was amazed by the ornate artistry in this cathedral, including many golden candlesticks, inlaid wood and various types of pictures. The large diorama of the nativity scene in Sorrento, fairly takes your breath away.
definitely go here if you're in sorrento. very relaxing and peaceful inside. so much art and a spectacular mosaic of the face of jesus on a side wall as you walk in by the last pew. very easy to miss this hanging.

The Mass times are printed and located on the door to the Cathedral facing the Main Street. Mass is held each morning around 9am - not 100% sure of the exact time, but I was in the Cathedral early one morning and a parishioner asked me if I would like to stay for Mass.
On a Sunday’s there are several Mass services held. I believe that there was one at 6pm and another around 7.30pm, as well as several in the morning .
It is a beautiful cathedral!
