very nice, welcoming. This church has just been opened to visitors and is truly a unique place. To visit absolutely to admire its decorations the unique atmosphere that you breathe.

Closed on Mondays and open from 10am to 12 then 6pm to 8pm. Sundays from 11.30 until 2pm. Entrance is free. This former Benedictine monastery now partly houses the local police station (smashing headquarters though)and the church is right at the side. Had the place...More

We didn't go looking for this church, but passed its open door, stepped in - and wow. This Baroque church has an exceptionally beautiful ceiling. Dimly lit and loaded with decoration, I recommend a visit to Chiesa di San Giorgio in Salerno's centro storico.

we were so surprised at how beautiful this church is. the caretaker was there at the time and no one else so very peaceful. while i was taking pictures the caretaker turned the lights on for me to make it easier and he showed us...More

This baroque church is fantastic and the man who works there very informative, proud of the church and friendly. He explained many o the paintings and statues to us (in Italian)
