This is a complex of monastery and church. It gives an excellent idea of living condition of monks living there. Pay attention to the system to collect water

This is another church in Matera made from caves. The old fresco's are interesting as is the structure/caves itself. Keep in mind that there are many many beautiful churches to see in Matera.
