The façade of the church is exquisite, as is the internal decoration, but the surprise is that you don't enter into the central nave, but the façade is actually the lateral entrance. This bit of disorentation is quite exciting and unique.
The old San Giovanni is a small part of the newer, larger church. It's nice, and very small, but I have found Madonna de Ibris and Santa Lucia alle Malve to be nicer, so I'd prioritize those.
