Charming and filled with historic vibes and great restaurants. The only issue are the drunkies and junkies. Some of these youngsters cannot behave and may become violent. Just enjoy it during the day and leave by 10.30 pm if you want to be safe.

This is a delightful narrow street lined with lots of different bars and restaurants which cater for all needs. The old houses add character to the street which is part of old Pescara once called Castellammare. A must see!

This place is lively in the evening since it is full of bars and restaurants for all kinds of people. However, during the day when all bars are closed, it pretty much deserted. You can always enjoy a stroll around though and enjoy the feel of the old part of Pescara, where fishermen used to live.

Not as well kept as other old centers of Italian cities, la vecchia Pescara deserves a visit at least for two reasons: in daytime there are two museums worth visiting: Gabrielle D'Annunzio and Il Museo della gente de Abruzzo. Come the evening and the area is alive with the nice little restaurants on both Manthone and the parallel street. It is not as touristy as you might expect. Mostly locals, enjoying a night out at a cosy restaurant. Hence the good, authentic food and the reasonable prices. On a Friday evening there was a DJ in the street, performing for all the restaurants in the area and, to our great surprise, the clients of the restaurants started dancing in the middle of the street, with passers-by joining the general fun. An exquisite example of "La vita e bella!"
