I love the churches but specially this one in the heart of Barcelona and its construction makes me visit and enjoy every time I go to Barcelona

Santa Maria del Mar was build by the inhabitants of Barcelona and has quite a unique history that makes it really worth a visit. It is quite simple decorated compared to other catholic churches, but it is wide and spacy that makes this beautiful in...More

We walked around the Gothic quarter and entered here. Architecture is fascinating. Inside you can feel the tranquility and grandeur of the church. Must be visited.

If you enjoy architecture and religious reverence, the Basilica de Santa Maria Del Mar is worth a visit. They had candles for sale to light in front of different statues for 1€ each.

This was close to where I was staying and I went back 3 times. The architecture was just breathtaking.

This is a lovely, lovely church located in a beautiful area not far from the Mediterranean. I so enjoyed my visit here, that I was happy to visit a second time when friends joined up with me a week later.

Stopped in for a brief view at night, just outside of a large memorial. Gorgeous and historic site. Be consumed by the largess and beauty of this epic structure!

Looking at other reviews, I feel people underrate and devalue this incredible piece of history. Yes the the impressive Barcelona Cathedral is just blocks away, but the wait is an hour with hoards of tourists surrounding the courtyard. This very underrated piece of history should...More

We were in and out in 20 minutes. Walked through the church, up to the roof for an aerial view, and then back out. Not much to it. Gave it a 3 for the gorgeous stained glass windows.

The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent
the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But
this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually
enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few
places that live and breathe such exciting energy
regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood
seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the
city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants

I went in July and there was no charge to go inside the church. It was €3 to go to the roof, but it was definitely worth it!
