Overview
More
The Tablao de Carmen pays tribute to the great flamenco dancer, Carmen Amaya, born in 1913 in the gypsy quarter of Somorrostro which then existed in what is today Barcelona's Olympic Village. Carmen Amaya made her debut in 1929 before King Alfonso XII on the site which is today the Tablao de Carmen at the inauguration of Poble Espanyol de Montjuic. The Tablao offers a top quality pure flamenco show, a direct descendant of the tradition. It dynamically presents several of the most important palos or styles of flamenco so that the spectator can get to know the richness and variety of this art form. It also highlights its different forms of expression: instrumental, vocal and dance.

Came for the 6pm show. While the price is considered to be very reasonable, but the food is often served cold and late (like they serve 5 of the 6 main entrees, and the last serving came like 15 mins later). My first time watching...More

I went with my family, party of 7, and got the Tapas and wine package included in the show price. We ended up enjoying some of the best tapas in town (fresh olives were outstanding). The wine was excellent and we had two more bottles...More

The dancing was amazing. Admittedly, I know nothing about Flamenco, but it was beautiful to watch. The music and dancing was very entertaining. The dancers really seemed to be enjoying performing with each other and watching them was a high point in my vacation. The...More

The show was a good experience particularly given the value. Enjoyed the quaint venue, the dancing was intimate. The show of one hour was enough for a first timer. Tapas and wine with package great value Few things though, the 8.30pm show in the old...More

We made reservations on-line to see the Flamenco dancers and ordered the “tapas only” rather than the full dinner. The tapas were just so so but nothing spectacular. The dancers and accompanying singers/musicians were quite good but you could tell that this did routine this...More

We had the tapas package. We went on a Thursday night. The establishment was more than half empty. The dancers were very good. The food was mediocre. There's also a package that does not include food

We highly recommend this dinner & Flamenco Show. We loved the location (in the Spanish Village), the food, service and absolutely the entertainment! The show itself is amazing! I cannot say enough about it! You must go see for yourself!

I don't see why not! Unless you have a problem with serving wine or sangria. It's like a dinner show with a lot of flamenco dancing. I personally loved it and I have 6 grandkids. If I would have them with me I would take... More
