Charming Venue
Dec 2019 • Solo
This city, in particular, this area, has an amazing vibe. The pace is slower than in larger cities, but there is nothing small about this city. Lots to see. Take your time.

Pictures I took are repetitive of the pictures already posted, so I will defer to the previous photos

Needed more time
Apr 2019 • Couples
We dropped in for lunch at Burgos while driving from Leon to San Sebastián but wish we’d at least had a night here. There is so much to see and do so the couple of hours we had allowed was way too short.

Charming historic center
Sep 2019 • Couples
Burgos historic center is full of charming spots, atmospheric cafes, lovely shops, beautiful bridges on the river Arlonzòn...

The heart of Burgos is Plaza Del Rey San Fernando and the wonder of the world Gothic treasures, Burgos Cathedral is right there.

The uphill walk to the ruins of Castillo Burgos is very pleasant and a good exercise. Go there for the panoramic views.

We also liked the Plaza Mayor with its Picts bright houses, the Theater, medieval Casa de Colon... and so many gorgeous churches...

Lovely town, stunning Cathedral, nice walks... Highly recommend!

Beautiful Medieval town, with so much history....
Oct 2019
It is a town to stay at least one evening and walk it inner alleys and squares as well as visiting the Cathedral and other buildings.....and do not forget to go up the hill to visit the Castle of Burgos and visit the subterranean site.

A magnificent cathedral dominates this beautiful city
Sep 2019
We had heard a great deal about the Cathedral in Burgos and we had the opportunity to visit it on our way to the Coast. El Cid is buried here and the amount of gold statues in the myriad of chapels is quite stunning and after a while one gets a fit of gold fever!! The relics are interesting and the cloister is so beautiful with its stained glass windows along the length of it.. The cathedral is absolutely vast and one could spend all day here.
There is parking nearby which is very useful to know!

Pretty medieval alleys
Aug 2019
The alleys of historic center of Burgos take one back to the medieval times without too much imagination. We enjoyed the spacious Plaza Mayor and just walking through the streets and along the river.

Lovely town
Oct 2019 • Couples
Burgos is a lovely town to wander around. Lots of squares, old buildings and interesting architecture; lots of cafe bars, tapas and restaurants, independent shops.
I recommend a trip to the tourist office first, and consider a guided tour although that will only include the central sites - there are a number of must see places a walk away from the centre.

It's a pleasant town to walk around. You have nature near by as well (gardens and a river). Many interesting building and very cheap!!! Visit the museum och the town and you'll receive a discount for another, the museum of the Human Evolution.
