Blowy but wild and beautiful
Feb 2020 • Couples
What a pleasant surprise, you drive down from the mountains and end up going across sandy roads banked with dunes. You then see the island off shore and the dusty but not dirty little Main Street. Seriously relaxed, surf shops, local supermarket and great cafes and seafood bars. Long haired tanned surfer types everywhere. Just chill here for a couple of hours taking in the laidback vibes. Brilliant

Perfect for chilling

Great little place, fab restaurants, not too touristy. Worth a visit if you're that side of the island. Will definitely return, hopefully permanently one day!

A small town

with not a lot to see or do unless you are a surfer. However it is the start of Famara beach which is too good to miss! Sand dunes along Famara beach are good fun!

Paragliding
May 2019
This experience has to be up there with Hot Air Ballooning in Cappadoccia, Sky-Diving at home and Scuba diving in Costa Teguise. The experience of just floating on the breeze and the views of the island made this the highlight so far of my ten day break on the 2nd day!
Robert, Bepe and Sofia were great as my pilot, handler and reassurance. This is a bucket list experience and one that I wholly recommend. I found Robert on AirBnB as an experience amongst many others which I will be taking up this time on the island.

The best beach in Lanzarote

Even if you are not a surfer, you must visit this beach. Dramatic backdrop of cliffs, amazing surf and quaint village with some excellent restaurants.

Beautiful beach
Dec 2018 • Couples
The beach is several kilometers long and in a beautiful setting with majestic cliffs at its end. Although it is mostly known for surfers, it's large enough to accommodate many users and there is a nice naturist tradition there. Naturists tend to concentrate in the most distant part from the village. Very enjoyable.

Nice relaxing place to stay. The surf spot to be.
Dec 2018 • Friends
Cool place to be if you like beach, surfing, relaxing. Few restaurants and cafe's, a supermercado and lots of surfing. Nicely located if you want to see other parts of the island, like Teguise. Not the place if you want to spend your time partying and nightlife.

A unique coastal resort
Nov 2018 • Friends
We stopped here for a couple of hours when driving back from the north of the island en route to base in Puerto del Carmen. Quite a fascinating place. This resort on the west coast has a very different feel to all the main tourist areas of the east and south coasts. The nature of the beach is quite different too. The beach here is rather rugged, with coarse sand and vegetation rather than the golden and somewhat manicured sands of the main resorts. This resort has however become increasingly popular in recent years, with surfing a popular attraction. It is somewhat remote from anywhere else of note on Lanzarote, but certainly some dramatic scenery along the coastline. Not sure however it would be a priority for me to make a return visit.

Windswept And Sun-bleached.
Nov 2018 • Couples
Stopped here and watched the crazy surfers out in the pouring rain. Other than them not a lot of tourists going about because of the inclement weather. Seemed much wilder and definitely less developed than the other side of the island , and strangely enough felt quite faraway, but perhaps more "real" for all that. Certainly more of an open seascape with the mountain curving round the sheltering bay.Probably more appealing in full sunshine , just like anywhere else.

Beautiful Scenery, Not Much to Do.

This beach is good for surfers owing to the strong winds however it is very rocky so not safe for swimming, there are a few cafes and restaurants here but other than that not many facilities.
