Interesting

We visited not sure what to expect, but went in anyway. The architecture is impressive in the baroque 17th century building. The decoration is stunning and the paintings are excellent The audio guide is helpful if you ignore the bits that are hard to hear or understand ... Worth a visit if you have the time to spare.

The name might not encourage a visit, but this not a boring place. It has magnificently decorated chapel, marvellous tiling throughout, and is a place of calm and peace.

Just walked in......but probably not quite worth 10 Euro

Nicely preserved , worth a visit, but they keep the price quiet until you are at the till. The included (free?) audio guide is quite good, although highly amused by the terrible grammar voiced by someone who is clearly a well educated Englishman. WHERE did they find HIM?

Average care at this hospital

I was looking forward to this experience but it disappointed somewhat. The church and the building itself were beautiful but the audio guide was cumbersome and the admission price of 8£pp was a lot for what we got (considering the amazing cathedral just down the road charges only 10£). There was also a lot of activity happening in the church with people moving pews around for what seemed like an event. Maybe we just caught this experience on an off day!?

We did this as a fill in as it was in the santa cruz district near our Hotel. What a treat. Please go and see the old hospital for retired priests. It has a small art gallery,a beautiful church which we loved and you wander around at leisure. It is not very big but allow an hour or so.

Difficult to find.
Jan 2020
This building is tucked away in tiny side streets and we had dificulty finding it. The baroque church, which was the reason for our visit, was beautiful, but we were not particularly interestd in seeing the paintings. The entrance fee included an audio tour but it seemed expensive when compared to other entry fees in Seville.

Overpriced
Jan 2020
In general we were very pleased with our visits in Seville, but this site seemed expensive to us. The main charge is for the Velazquez Centre which is a small room off the main patio containing about 15 paintings (three of which were out on loan when we visited). I do not dispute the quality of the paintings which include works by Velazquez, Murillo and Zurbaran plus an interesting view of Seville from its Golden Age - and a guest picture by Picasso when we visited. The audio guide (included in the price) gave background to the pictures. Once you leave the paings you see the patio where an old theatre used to be and the highly Baroque church - which you will either love or hate depending on your opinion of the baroque decoration.

UNEXPECTED BEAUTY

The church is relatively small but very charming. The colourful fresco decor on the walls are really beautiful.

Hidden Gem
Nov 2019 • Couples
What a beautiful place in a city of wonderful buildings. This hidden gem is near the cathedral and was originally dedicated to supporting ailing priests. Beautiful and tranquil giving a feeling of peace and inner calm. Stunning and definitely worth a visit.

Not to be missed!
Dec 2019
What a fabulous place! Wouldn't have missed this visit. The church, with its beautiful frescos is amazing! The priceless works of art by Picasso, Zurbaran and Velazquez are so worth seeing. Tucked away in the back streets and hard to find but well worth searching for. Worth 12€ entrance. DO NOT MISS!!!!!!!!
