Definitely worth walking up through this very old neighbourhood to make it to the Mirador de San Nicolas for a beautiful view of the Alhambra with the Sierra Nevada mountains as a backdrop.

Really enjoyed feeling the old fashioned cobblestone life of this area. Highly recommend for authentic Moorish Spanish experience. The only challenge is driving. If you stay there, book a place that has dedicated parking.

Get yourself lost in the labyrinth, narrow streets of Albayzin. Very interesting place to visit situated on a steep hill. It is the medieval quarters of moorish era which has retained its architectural features over centuries. Some of the houses have been changed into hotels...More

Very nice to walk around but it's hilly with lots of steps so people with limited mobility might find it difficult.

A very typical old quarter of the city. It includes some nice shopping streets (Moroccan) with Moroccan tee houses.

The beautiful meandering streets with historical monuments depicting the fantastic and rich islamic culture and architecture at its best. A definitely must to walk through the cobblestoned streets and visit the mosques. Unfortunately the opening timings of the cathedrals are dependent on the caretakers availability...More

The best way to know and enjoy the Albayzin is to walk through its streets and even get lost, look for a seat and sit down to have a beer that always comes with "una tapa", talk to those around you, these people are friendly,...More

Rented an appartment in the Albayzin and loved it. Easy to walk into the centre of Granada but lots of restaurants within easy reach. Great views from the Miradors - we loved exploring the cobbled streets.

We visited this area while ona Segway tour as this is the best way to do it or else you would be so tired as it is uphill. We had fun going through the narrow streets and discovering this area of Gitanos.

There were eight of us on our last visit and had a fantastic guide. T/P +34655574373 and ask for Mirian. Reputable company but don’t think you’ll get the whole show for 6 euros, you’re trying to live the dream. Pay the fair... More
