About
Located in the city’s historic centre, the Hammam Al Ándalus is a recently renovated monumental space that captures the essence of the old Arab baths of Al Ándalus. Its cold, warm and hot water thermal baths form part of the ritual of purification and together with steam, rest and massage rooms, make up an architectural ensemble characterized by beautiful Moorish decoration which induces relaxation of the mind and body.

Highlight of our stay at Malaga
Jul 2021
I went with two of my friends this week and it was one of the most unique and amazing experiences we had in the city. The baths are beautifully decorated in mudejar art, making us feel like we were propelled in the past. It was so relaxing. It was truly worth 35 euros. The massage in the 49 euro formula (access to the baths for 1h30 + 15-minute massage) is also worth doing. The masseuse was extremely nice and did a great job. The staff was extremely welcoming and nice. If I come back one day to Malaga I will surely go here again!
I highly recommend that you reserve tickets in advance

Relaxing treat
Lovely relaxing treat. A journey of water and massage. Lots of different hot and cold pools, steam room and hot stones. Lovely massage and plenty different packages available to suit. Price is pretty fair and the service is always brilliant. Highly recommend.

A Genuine Relaxing Experience
Jul 2021 • Couples
An authentic immersive experience that felt like a dip into the past. From the Arabic music and the mint tea to the Nasrid design and glorious architecture it felt like we had been transported to al-Andalus. The baths and massage were superb. The staff were also extremely pleasant and professional.

we were treated awfully
May 2021
I went with a friend yesterday. The place was amazing but we were treated really badly. This blond lady kept following us around telling us to shut up or she would have us kicked out. She also asked multiple times in a very arrogant way if we could speak spanish. We were speaking normally and immediatly lowered the tone once we were told to. I think it's easy to pick on two young girls. There were older couples that spoke way loudly and were not threatened to be kicked out. We spent an hour and a half being scared of speaking to each other. I don't think this way of treating clients is acceptable especially after paying a large amount of money for being there. Furthermore, I truly did not appreciate the remark on our ability to speak the language.

Good fun but some of the staff could be a little nicer
Sep 2020
Overall this was a great experience and worth the money. We only did the Arabian Baths experience and did not have a massage or anything. The only thing that spoilt the occasion was the positively miserable woman working on the inside. After a lovely greeting by the young people at the reception, it was quite a contrast to encounter this miserable woman who treated customers like schoolchildren. I would suggest to the management that a little retraining for "Patricia" on correct customer service would go a long way to improving the experience of their clients!! I notice that other people have commented on the same thing, so obviously in need of some improvements here. Other than that, it was good fun.

Overall a very “meh” experience, not worth the price.
Jul 2020 • Couples
Overall a very “meh” experience that can not be justified by the price. It was a very boring massage, not deep tissue at all. The lady on the front desk was nice, but the two staff inside were quite insistent and escorted us out when we wanted to finish our tea. You pay for 90 minutes in the baths and choose the length of massage, but what they don’t tell you is this is not 90 minutes plus the length of the massage time, but 90 minutes in total, so you barely have enough time to relax in the pools or enjoy the tea if you choose to have a longer massage, and then they force you to leave.

Overall I do not believe it was worth the money: I have visited much better hammams and have had much, much better massages at more reasonable prices.

Thank you for your interest in our Hammam Al Andalus in Malaga and for offering us a commentary to improve every day. The massages we provide are relaxing, deep and seasonal services that are a unique experience to live. We have a fully qualified staff ready to meet the needs of customers. In addition, the intensity of the massage is something fundamental for us, so the masseur should always ask if the client wants more or less pressure in his massage. In this Hammam we work in shifts, so we always make appointments before the hour to explain to the client so that he can enjoy his stay from the minute zero. Once the contracted service is finished, it is necessary to clean and sanitize all the Hammam for the following shift, you can check it in our site. To increase the measures and security protocols. Nevertheless, in reception everything is explained in detail so that there are no misunderstandings. We are very sorry that your experience has not been as you expected, therefore we hope that in the future you can repeat it again and enjoy the Hammam experience. Sincerely,

Unique spa experience!
Feb 2020 • Family
Our family of four (two boys ages 13 and 10) enjoyed a couple of hours in this beautiful spa. My husband and I had scheduled 30 minute massages for ourselves but because there weren’t many people there, we were able to upgrade to an hour-long massage for my husband. The massages were delightful. Unfortunately, because our massages weren’t at staggered times (I thought I had read that they would be), our boys had to just sit and wait in the massage room, not doing anything. That was a bummer. But, we still enjoyed the soaking and the massages and the atmosphere and the tea and...I could go on! I highly recommend this experience if you are visiting Malaga! I hear the other locations are lovely as well so we hope to visit those someday, too!

Bad massage, very expensive
Feb 2020
My visit here was a disapointment. The scrub was horrible, I felt like I was a dirty floor being scrubbed, way too harsh. The massage was not very comfortable either, and very expensive for 15 minutes!
Even though the building is beautiful, steam room and sauna disapointing too. The reception was nice.

Dear customer, Thank you very much for your words about our Hammam. We always try to do the best for all of our customers, but not at allways will be the same experience for all of you. The perception of disappointment, like the economic perception is very different for each of us. This depends on the care we want to give ourselves. In response to skin cleansing, we understand that it could be strong, since it is the traditional Arab cleansing that is usually done in Turkey and Morocco to remove dead skin, but you can ask our partners to make it softer. We hope you can visit us again so you can change your perception of us. Kind regards
