Long sandy, beach area, for swim and walks, all year around.
Sort of "wild beach".
A few ugly buildings, dune side.
A bit of garbage, boat parts etc, would be nicer if removed.
A few places, along the upper beach/beach walk, all year, for some...More
All are welcome here. No frills road side restaurant with a delicious seafood menu. “Navajos” and “Atun” were simply but very well prepared and presented. Tasty! The portions and prices ? - excellent value and staff were charming. Happy to recommend.
Los Caños De Meca is a beautiful, sandy and untamed beach that remains wild and unspoiled. It is not a large beach but is instead long and thin with a short stretch between you and the sea. In the mornings when the tide is in,...More

Hope this answer is in time for your trip. From my observations (on Caños de Meca) you have to get your own. If you are in an AirBandB/apartment, (like we were) ask - they may have beach umbrellas you can use. Otherwise there is a supermarket on Caños de Meca near the Pharmacy which sells everything for the beach (and the prices are not outrageous) unlike buying stuff near Tarifa - really inflated prices.
We also stayed in a lovely hotel just outside Tarifa but even they had no umbrellas you could hire to take to the beach where there is no shade. Strange. A missed opportunity to make even more money and advertise their establishment.
