If you've a passing interest in quality beer and it's your first visit to Berlin I highly recommend you put Hops ,& Barley at the top of your list,to put it simply ,it's the best beer bar in Berlin and ticks all the boxes.
Not the most extensive range of on-Tap beers in the world but some good choices on the menu. All tastes catered for from pilsener to wheat beers to stouts. Even cider if you are that way inclined. At time of visit the Citra was particularly...More
This bar is worth a visit if you are in this area. Friendly staff, good beer and quirky decor. Previously a butchers shop the original tiles are still on the walls with the micro brewery in the basement.
In my view the best traditional-style pub in this area of Friedrichshain. I like the green & white tiled interior. For the best atmosphere, visit when a little busy with a couple of friends - weeknights when football is showing or early evening Fri or...More
I came here with a friend. As soon as we arrived outside, I was impressed. The atmosphere was friendly and warm. We were greeted by friendly bar staff and great beers. I tried the pilsner and a special dark ale. Both were lovely beers.

When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit
buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
