Anti Pub-Crawl: This bar crawl left us incapacitated for two days. I have been on a couple of other bar crawls and this seems to be a fairly standard experience. We started at a communist themed bar, took the metro to a burlesque bar (though there wasn't any entertainment on), followed by an absinthe bar. Things deteriorated quickly after that. We ended up at a massive club that was one of the busiest places I have been, and honestly I can't believe we made it back to our hotel. The guides were pretty good, though the group we were with was a bit clique-y, so we just kept to ourselves.

We drove from Alexanderplatz with the subway to the RAW area where you can find one of the very sweet spots of Street Art in Berlin. The area used to be abandoned, and artists all around the world came to show their style of painting. Some illegal and most of them legally. Street Art has so much in common with going to a museum and looking at paintings. You need to take your time to appreciate the art and to see all the details the artist hid. You'll find huge graffitis as well as tiny ones, and all of them are beautiful in their own way. Also the RAW area is a really cool place to skate, boulder, buy vintage furniture, drink coffee as well as to party all night long. You definitely need to check it out!

The tour was fabulous introduced us to some amazing street art and it’s meaning. Taken by Rob who was very knowledgeable about his subject. Then he was able to show his artistic skills in the studio and even managed to help us create our own spray art.

Today we had a gorgeous tour with the absolute kind Canadian guide MD (Michael David). This was my third time joining the free tour and again it was very special, informative, individual and just amazing. I met some familiar places and also discover new things I did not knew before. Thanks from the depth of my heart to MD for this wonderful adventure and all the best and blessings for the future... To all of you who are wondering if a tour with Alternative Berlin would be a good idea: Absolutely! Support those great people even now in times of "the plaque" ;-) Best wishes Miriam

We did a 3 hour tour with Sarah today through street and alleys of Berlin learning about history, culture, West and east, Berlin grafitti and Street Art. Sarah was amazingly passionate about the city, Its people and Its history and her passion was contagious. We learned much and had a great time walking places we wouldn't have found by ourselves. Thank you!
