This store send us a statue that was destroyed in transit. They received a refund of the shipping costs from UPS 45 days ago. We just received an email from Antikhaus Isman telling us that they have no intention of refunding the shipping cost. They actually made an additional $600 profit by doing their job poorly.

This store is not very honest. Beware.

Hello Georgia10000, your review is not at all true and you are not honest! First of all we feel very sorry, that the bought statue has arrived broken. We have organized a special wrapping company and have made very good experiences working with this company in the past. Actually it is not our fault, but the fault of the shipping company UPS. Furthermore we cannot be blamed for the delayed refund of the insurance of UPS. As soon as the money has been refunded by the UPS insurance, we have transferred the amount immediately to your bank account! Best regards Peter Insam

I found a beautiful art deco statue in this shop. Because it was too heavy to care, I paid the shop $600 to ship the statue to California. I paid for the statue with my credit card, but they insisted that I have the money to cover the shipping charges wired to them. The statue arrived damaged. After waiting for 2 months to be reimbursed for the statue by the shop, I disputed the charges with my credit card company. I just found out that the shipping company paid the shop for the statue AND the shipping charges over 1 month ago. I still have not received a refund for the shipping charges.

This shop has been jerking me around since November. Unless I fly back to Germany to sue Antikhaus Insam I am out $600. Found someplace else to buy your souvenirs in Regensberg; someplace with some integrity.

All the antique shops on this corner and around the bend up the alley open between 10-11am. We were on site early at 0930 and back tracked later onto visit the shops when they opened. Insam if full of large furniture items and some jewelry at full cost. As a traveler i'm not interested in larger pieces to ship or carry, so I was more interested in shops specializing in smalls up the alley.

Hello Corrine, your review is not at all meaningful and helpful. Actually we are one of the leading antique shops in Germany: In total we have 10 windows, where small items, like antique jewelry, silver, etc. are on display. Above all inside of our store, you can find authentic antique furniture pieces & exclusive oil paintings. On our website you will find most of our items, too. Best regards Peter Insam

If you love antiques, you'll definitely want to see this shop. They have beautiful antique furniture, jewelry and awesome pictures. We purchased a picture of the Regensburg Bridge done by one of their famous local artists. In fact it just arrived Friday and we can't wait to hang it in our dining room. It is done in a Tempur style with subdued colors and beautifully framed. We also enjoyed looking at their antique jewelry and of course their antique furnishings are to die for. If in Regensburg, make it a point to stop by the Insam's shop. You won't regret it!
