There are quite a few historic bridges which cross the Pegnitz River in Nuremburg. including Fleischbrucke (Meat Bridge). This is a single-arch bridge built at the end of the 16th-century, replacing an earlier bridge. It links St. Sebald and St. Lorenz districts in the market area of the city centre.

Some believe it was modelled after the Rialto bridge in Venice. It survived WWII bombing mostly unscathed, meaning what you see now is the original stone bridge. During our December visit, there were two decorative Christmas tree style ornaments installed on both sides of the bridge centre, adding nice seasonal appeal to Fleischbrucke at this time of the year.

Nice historic bridge with photogenic surroundings. Great place to take pictures or selfies. I could really imagine living here back in the time, crossing the river.

The bridge is right in the main market section towards the castle, but has nothing great to offer. The view is alright, but I personally, didn't find it noteworthy.

The bridge at the centre of things.
one side looks on to foodstalls, buskers, alfresco nurnberg .
The other side looks across the placid water to the lovely old architecture of the Spitalhospital., reflected in the river.
A bridge across the culture of historical nurnberg

Wherever you go in the centre, you'll most probably cross it. The bridge is more than 400 years old and survived World War II almost untouched.

You'll enjoy the beautiful view from it - both sides.

In the centre of the old town this old bridge is in a popular area. Not a massively impressive bridge but full of history

Just a bridge until you know the history behind it. Built in the 1500s it was the site of a meat market and later survived the World War II bombings. Located in the old town Nuremberg the Pegnitz flows beneath it & it is situated between the Karlsbrucke & the Museumsbrucke. Wander along the banks and enjoy this old town & all it's charm.
