While attending Oktoberfest, I broke away from the festivities to attend Saturday evening Mass. Although the service was in a foreign language, the Mass is consistent across the globe. We are all one in His name. The views of this magnificent cathedral are spectacular on the outside. The inside is more humble. Still, another great example of a European Cathedral.

After Oktoberfest, we walked to this church to hike the tower to get the 360 views. The tower is free with recommended donations of 3€. There was a line because the tower has a narrow staircase that would allow traffic going up and coming down would have to wait until it was clear.

It’s a 360 view where you see Oktoberfest and downtown from a distance.

St. Paul's is a is an Neo-Gothic church at St.-Pauls-Platz. Historically, the church was designed by Austrian architect Georg von Hauberrisser and constructed between 1892-1906. Unfortunately, heavy WWII damage resulted in the church having to be rebuilt.

We recently stopped by on our way out of the Oktoberfest celebrations and found St. Paul's to make for a nice visit. The exterior is fairly typical of Neo-Gothic churches with attractive facade. The interior features high nave lovely vaulted arches, interesting paintings, stained-glass windows.

Worth a few minutes of your time if you plan to be in this area of Munich and enjoy visiting historic churches during your travels.

Impressive (reasonably modern) exterior with buttresses and fine detail.
Damaged by the ww2 bombs but hard to tell.
The simplicity of the interior is a huge plus. Quiet, contemplative, understated is how i would describe it.
When we visited there was a thoughtful flower display hanging from the room all over the main body. Be sure to check out the pascal candles - wonderful.
Stations of the Cross are superb.

This church was originally constructed in the late 19th Century and suffered heavy damage in World War II. It is now completely restored and has been recently renovated.

It is free to enter, but remember that it is an actual sanctuary where parishioners come to pray and worship. Inside you will find a beautiful church and information about the church's history.

There are grander churches to visit in Munich, so I wouldn't recommend a special trip but it is worth a look if you are in the neighborhood.

Even though it was still under construction, you could still see the grandeur and beauty this church has. Definitely one not to be missed!

I noticed the church from a distance due to the tall spire. We were waiting at a cafe for our hotel room to get ready but I decided to walk there since it looked close by. I could see the layers of scaffolding the closer I got.
The church itself was quite large and looked nice, particularly with the designs around the doors. The front area was really nice with the twin spires and the circular window. The entrance area also looked nice but it was closed off.
As I kept walking around I found a statue, presumably of St. Paul. The area around the church was quiet and really peaceful. I thought it was a nice church to walk around but think it would have been nicer to be able to take a look inside.

Definitely pop into this church as it is right in the main area of Munich downtown between the main train station and the palace. It is all white and completely ornate. Be sure to be quiet as many people worship here throughout the day.

This church impresses and respects its architecture. Both outside and inside, it looks very monumental and thoroughly, it feels a kind of peace among the massive and quiet columns. Something like this...
It was built in 1892–1906 in the Gothic Revival style. The height of the main tower is 97 meters and two other - 76 meters.

The churches exterior is beautiful even with the building work currently being done and the interior did not disappoint either. Compared to the very popular St.Peter’s Church, St.Paul’s was quiet and I loved that about it. It allowed me to light a candle and say a quiet prayer and it felt like a real church rather than the tourist attraction St.Peter’s seems to be. I would recommend a visit.
