We have seen some of the most amazing and interesting special exhibitions at the Kunsthalle over the many years: Sorolla, Faberge, Orientalism, O‘Keefe, Hammershoj, Du and Faust, Keithe Haring, Dix and Beckmann, Rembrandt, Tizian and Bellotto, Pracht auf Pergament, and so on.

This is really an exceptional art gallery. The current show, 'the thrill of deception' was indeed quite thrilling. A definite must see while in Munich.

I just happened to be wandering by and saw the advertising for the Faust exhibit. When in for twelve euro and it was money well spent! Loved the layout and the explanatory plaques in English and German.

This museum is Located along the Theatinerstrasse. The current exhibit is on Faust and his devotees. Very nice exhibits. Tickets are a little pricy but worth the experience.

The Faust exhibition here running until July 2018 is extraordinary. Part of the Munich-wide celebration of Goethe’s play, the curation is exceptional. There are videos, wonderful paintings, artefacts and a multitude of things describing the story of Faust and the development of the German Gretchen...More
