Even if crowded, from far it has its charm. We were lucky with the weather, and considering the other two castels we've visited in Germany, this was the most impressive one. Never saw that many Chinese tourists, but I think they have a reason. Inside...More

Went there with young children and grandfather. Nice weather, crowded. Took the bus up there is the best way to take photo from the bridge. We didn’t have time to go inside the castle. Will do next time.

This is a beautiful castle, but I am afraid like many of places on the well trodden tourist trail in Western Europe (Versailles springs to mind) it is a victim of it's own popularity. It is inundated with visitors. A souvenir shop by the car...More

It was great to see and visit Neuschwanstein, the model for Disney's Sleeping Beauty castle, which requires quite a bit of stair climbing once at the facility AND a slightly challenging trek down the hill back to the bus!! We most enjoyed the two stops...More

The castle is situated near Schwangau and within walking distance .Remember to leave early as a stiff uphill walk is on hand. There is a nice Horse cart drive available from the first drop off point but from there to the actual castle is still...More

If this castle looks really familiar it is because this was the model used by Disney for its Cinderella castle, but also the actual location for the Baron’s and Baroness’ castle in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! It is a really beautiful building and so even...More

Nice modern castle that needs a long walk up the hill. Ticket is hard to get. Would advise to book them early. Need to be here to appreciate the beauty.
