Rebuilt after severe war damage and currently undergoing more work which has covered the building in scaffolding. Bit of a search for an open door and the inside was rather gloomy, although to be fair the day was dull. Very fine once my eyes adjusted.

The church is attached to the much older bell tower, which miraculously survived the bombs of world war 2. The church itself was meticulously rebuild after the war. Somewhat dark inside, and rather empty, it is a rather monumental space inside.

We were in Le Havre at Easter and stood outside to listen to the music and singing before going inside. The church suffered heavy damages during the Second World War but has been lovingly rebuilt and restored. There is a free leaflet just inside the main door in English to help your tour.…

Major renovations underway but looks like a beautiful Cathedral and well worth a visit. Car parking available on the street and located in a quiet area of Le Harve. Easy to find if you are coming from the Port. Just follow the signs for city Centre.
