About Le Food Trip
The Food Passport is a self-guided food tour giving you the possibility to taste a wide selection of local products in Paris. At your own pace, you can visit the city and stop by some of the 25 local partners food stores to taste selected products: savoy cheese, olive oil, frog legs, duck pâté, macarons, pastries, wine and many others… Le Food Trip, the startup behind the concept, spent one year selecting passionate and welcoming artisans, willing to share their passion with Food Trippers. Once your Food Passport booked on our website, you’ll get a voucher and will be able to pick up the passport whenever you want, at one of the partner shops to start the adventure. The Passport comes with an app (Android) and has a 3 months validity.

Haven’t used all of my coupons yet but so far, it was been a great value. I like that we are going to places that we never would have discovered on our own.

One of the absolute highlights of our honeymoon was the food passport. We had 12 tastings each in all that took us through five different Paris neighborhoods. It was really tough to narrow it down to just 12, but you really can't go wrong with which ever shops you choose. Along the way, we got to meet the artisans, owners, and regulars of each shop and learn about their business, food, and passions. These stops took us off the beaten tourist path allowing us to see Paris as Parisians do. Unfortunately, there were a few shops that turned us down as they no longer participated in the program. We still bought their products to try anyway. All in all, this is a great way for foodies to get an authentic gastronomic tour of Paris (and a whole lot of steps!).

We decided we wanted to do a food tour while in Paris but between the cost and time we needed to dedicate we couldn't fit it in our schedule. Then I came across Left Food Trip and it sounded perfect. Once I knew the locations and what everyone in our group wanted to try it was easy enough to plan. We each had the 12 taste tour and we hit to most of the places we wanted. We had three days planned and spread the tour stops out between other things we wanted to see. Not being able to finish the tour was due to us having one injured person which slowed our timeline and one of our planned days was Easter Monday which affected shop hours. The foods- We enjoyed almost everything we tried. It was a chance to eat some things I never would have ordered in a restaurant, thought about ordering because I didn't know what it was, or just couldn't afford. The locations- We included places that were near areas we would be anyways. Day 1 we were near Notre Dame, Luxembourg Gardens, and the Eiffel Tower so we visited places near those. Day 2 we went to Versailles and when we got back to Paris we were able to do a few more around the Eiffel Tower which wasn't far from our hotel. Day 3 we spent at The Louvre. We took a break and hit some more food tour stops nearby and then headed back to the museum for the evening. The Presentations- There is definitely a wide variety of what you will get as far as information about the item. Some places you just select an item from a case while others the owner gives you lots of wonderful information and you can tell they are very passionate about what they do. Overall all four of us really enjoyed it and would do it again.

I tried contacting the company several times through the provided number directly, through WhatsApp calling, WhatsApp texting, sending an email, and through the contact form on their website. I received no responses through any of them. We only had three days in paris, and had planned out one of our days based on this food passport. This was extremely disappointing as we purchased the large tasting and were looking forward to such positive reviews. We leave tomorrow morning so there is not way at this point to use the passport. Pretty terrible customer service. It should be automated when you purchase the passport and not dependent on when someone checks their phone.

I really wanted to learn how to make croissants, macarons, or baguettes, but those classes were either full or they didn't fit in my schedule. Plan ahead and book your class before you go! There were only four of us and Frederic was a wonderful teacher. Everything was prepped for us, so we able to jump right in. We had a recipe in front of us, but he really wanted us to focus on the directions and tips he was giving us. At the end we ate our creations with tea and coffee. Delicious! The building was easy to find and was only maybe a block away from the Metro stop.
