Came for lunch. Took advantage of the 5 tapas for £20,good service from friendly staff. Food was served quickly, was fresh and tasty, padron pepper were lush along with the cod croquettes and chilli Prawns, very very good value for tapas. Will be back.

We both walked in this afternoon on the off chance that we could have a bite to eat and we were not disappointed.
The young guy was very attentive and wonderful. We took advantage of the tapas offer which is great value for money and plentiful and soooooo tasty. Since the venue has been reformatted for social distancing it actually is much better and feels homely.
We were made to feel so very welcome unlike VIA around the corner which is being run like a camp in WW2.
Well done Molly House team and look forward to coming again soon x

I was just in Manchester and, while sightseeing the Village, came across The Molly House and was very pleased that I found it. I just wanted to try a local beer, but ended up staying a few hours and worked my way through their Spanish and South American tapas selection. Great flavours and variety. Portion size was fine. The location was a little tricky to find as the entrance is on a side street, but inside was warm, inviting, clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. If I return to Manchester, I'll be sure to visit The Molly House again.

My girlfriend and I really rated this place; food was delicious. The decor, ambience and people were really welcoming. Unpretentious, fantastically executed, honestly priced tapas. Will return. Patatas bravas and the artichokes were the highlights. Great selection of drinks too. Many thanks to all who served/cook.

Well what a great place. Went for my Birthday. Staff were fantastic and very welcoming. Table was ready when we got there. Took our details for contact due to Covid. All cutlery and plates bagged up so no worries. Good choice of food although menu was a little reduced still lots of choice. Food was excellent, well presented and very tasty. Good choice of beers too. Would recommend to anyone

It never ceases to amaze me how the front of house seems oblivious to the damage they may reek on the whole business.
When one has a poor experience of interacting with the front of house their whole impression of the business changes, suddenly the smaller portions become even smaller! The way the dishes are placed in front of you becomes an issue!
Why the first person you see alters your perception is ingrained and nothing thereafter can alter this. A request to sample an ale becomes an issue when it is an inconvenience to the staff, surprisingly you must be expected to purchase untried?
More work needed guys you were great, think customer and you may climb the hill
Chef great food but small portions

I am leaving this review after seeing the one from ‘Chris R’. I’ve been coming to the Molly a House for years, and I’ve always enjoyed it. It has a lovely atmosphere, great staff, mouth-watering food and plenty of space for big groups with wooden benches on the ground floor, and some far too comfortable upstairs! Plus they have a smoking area outside on the first floor so you don’t have to stand in the road like a lamppost!
I totally disagree with ‘Chris R’, and to be honest if they aren’t happy with the venue, I would advise they go somewhere else, because I’m sure that the people who work there will be quite upset by your comments.
But if anyone else reading this wants a cosy place on a typically wet day in Manchester, or in fact any time of the year, I would highly recommend this as a hidden gem in the city that should be on your favourites list.

In short. Don't bother me, gossiping, rude staff. Everthing is too much trouble and if you're face doesn't fit - watch out. Small village minded and manager never actually there.

Since moving to Manchester I've been desperate to find a bar in the gay Village that was a little different from the rest. Queer As Folk was a decade ago now and the Canal Street vibe has changed, so it's nice to find a bar that's recognised that and grown up with the city's community.
Great beers, wide range of spirits, and tasty, fresh food and comfortable and stylish decor... I went recently with some Spanish friends to try the tapas, and for their money it's the best in the city (an opinion more valuable than mine, I guess). Plus it's nice that you can see the chef cooking it to order in the small open kitchen. Very friendly bar staff too without any 'Villagey' attitude. My new local.

It was our first visit to he Molly House and we were really looking forward to sampling the vegan menu having read great reviews online.
We had trouble booking a table in advance (slow and unhelpful email responses) and not surprisingly we turned up to find the table hadn't been reserved for us after all. Really disappointing.
What made matters worse was how rude and unhelpful the staff were when we did ask for a table. We were shocked that a bar with such a good reputation had such poor customer service. It spoilt our evening.
