- KeithTelford, United Kingdom7 contributionsA very reasonable day out which needn’t cost a fortune.Telford town park is very close to the shopping centre and it caters for everyone. It’s easy to park in the multi story car park or southwater car park. Plenty of restaurants to choose from for example Wrekin giant a green king pub. Wagamama Bella it all’s and many more. You can go ten pin bowling and ice skating visit wonderland or the exotic zoo age appropriate play areas and a bike hire facility with trailer’s for the very young and explore the near by areas. On a final note loads of room for picnic and places to purchase sandwiches or pizza absolutely amazing if you’ve not been before.Visited May 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 5 May 2023
- Avux99Cheshire, United Kingdom599 contributionsTelford Town ParkBeen in parks all over the UK & in terms of facilities this is one of the best I’ve been to. Loads to do. Formal garden area (Chelsea Gardens), several play areas categorised by age, visitor centre, high ropes, disc golf course, adventure golf course, splash pad, lake, frequent events taking place on the fields. The only thing I can find fault with this park is there is no car park close enough to where the main action is as far as I’m aware so not great if you have a disabled member in your party.Visited June 2023Travelled with familyWritten 25 June 2023
- Seve’s MummyWirral, United Kingdom384 contributionsAmazing range of facilitiesA perfect place to spend anything from a few hours to a full day. An amazing range of activities and facilities. You could spend nothing and enjoy the great outdoors and the amazing play areas or pay to take part in some of the additional activities such as disc golf, adventure golf, high ropes etc. If we lived closer we’d be regular visitors here.Visited July 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 30 July 2023

We stayed for 3 hours as we needed to head home but we could have stayed all day. So much for them to do. Facilties are great. Super park for kids of all ages! What I love most us how clean it is! Coffee kiosk in the winter/ice cream in the summer, perfect for an afternoon out. Have visited numerous times, one of our fave local places. Picnic areas are plenty and lots of fab restaurants nearby too!

There needs to be more info to explain that the park is a long walk from the road that we were taken to on the sat nav.. the grand kits were so fed up by the time we finally found the park that they did won't to go on the park.. and the fact that 2 of us are disabled didn't help..

Not from Telford so didn't know what their idea of an 'Arena' is. Went to see UB40, ticket terms no umbrellas or picnic chairs allowed inside the arena. Weather not great but as per terms left our umbrellas in the car, get inside lots of umbrellas everywhere making it impossible to get a decent view of the stage. Lots of picnic chairs dotted about in the middle of crowds. Security had to be the worst I've ever seen at a gig and I've been to a few. Had to hand my bag over for a search he didn't even look in it just passed it back to me! You could have walked in there with literally anything. We didn't have Gold circle tickets but got in the gold circle (we didn't stay in that area as it was far too rammed) bar staff unhelpful after queuing for a good 20 minutes asked for 2 cardboard cup holders as it was raining heavily and trying to get 4 pints back in that would be no easy task. Was told one cup holder only which of course was soaked and split in seconds! A few very expensive food vans, no great choice. Not enough portaloos but thats a problem everywhere. All in all if I wanted to go to a concert there again I'd simply stand at the top of the entrance and watch from there as the view would have no doubt been better than being stuck behind all those umbrellas!

The Telford town centre is not a good place to shop anymore we visited 25th January 2023 there were young males in groups shouting running and verbal language was so disgusting, the staff that walk around ignored this behaviour and just watched them as they caused mayhem.as a mother coming shopping you would expect a safe and friendly environment to shop I definitely will not be revisiting again and will certainly tell my community as well 😡

Loads to do for everyone. Clean, tidy and well maintained. Usually something going on in the QE2 arena (Balloon festivals, music concerts) and of course, home to Telford Parkrun.
