It was a great time in Dublin. Food was great, but the best was our guide, Sean! He was FUNNY, very informative , and all around a great guide to anything Dublin! Soon he will be a famous actor and I can say I knew him when!

Grainne led the most amazing Food Tour!! She is an excellent historian, foodie, and storyteller!! She was able to tell us so many things about the history of Ireland and Dublin. We went to amazing restaurants and the food was great! We loved hearing about the history of the various buildings. This is a Dublin tour that you must do! We will do this tour again, whenever we are in Dublin.

This was my second time to enjoy this excellent experience. I took my daughter who was in awe of the entire event from start to end.
On arrival at the meeting point in the historic and impressive Powerscourt Centre we joined in with 12 other keen international foodies. There was a simultaneous tour of 14 other hungry participants such is the popularity of this event. Our guide was simply expert.
Gràinne is a proper historian and clearly passionate about the amazing food Ireland has to offer. She gave us history lessons, essential food background and the lowdown on a host of drinks to savour and venues to visit.
We visited 3 first class establishments and every single one offered the very best in seafood, dairy produce, Irish meats and desserts.
We had a surprise special treat at the end to finish up with.
3 hours after starting off we have made lots of new friends from across the world and had a really special afternoon.
I will return for the whiskey tour and we will also do this fabulous Food Trail again in the future.

Please don’t miss this opportunity in Dublin. Starting here with a good tour will set you up for a lot of enjoyment in Dublin. Sadly we did this at the end of our time in Dublin and we weren’t able to utilize as well all the great tips and suggestions provided on pubs, places to eat and much more. We have been two weeks in Scotland and Ireland and this ranks among our highlights. We tasted delicious food, learned about the culture and history and we got all of our weird questions answered. Grainne was so knowledgeable, interesting and entertaining. This tour is especially good for anyone interested in history, culture, food, local beverages, good stories, history of food in Ireland— and she knows a lot about whisky and I think just about anything Ireland:). We highly recommend this tour! Not to be missed .

Great informative tour. Enjoyable afternoon. We were late due to flight delays and very accommodating allowing us to catch up mid tour.

Fun, fact-filled tour of 3 eateries featuring for appetizers, main, and dessert. Gráinne has excellent knowledge of Irish food history and trends, and she treated us like family. She accommodated us at the last minute when another food tour canceled the day before our event.

This is a miss for those new to Dublin. Not only did we have a great intro to irish food but also got some great history on the people and city. Anne our guide was super knowledgeable and we loved her enthusiasm for Irish heritage. My only regret was booking this at the end of our trip as I think it would have been so nice to have early on. At the end of our walk, Anne gave us some local pointers on the best pubs, etc and even offered some of her own recipes.

Did this tour last week and found it excellent. We were on the tour for a friend's birthday. It was very suitable for both young and old alike. ( We are in the "old" group!!)
Our tour guide Grainne was full of knowledge about Dublin, food and drink. She is reasonably honest and frank when saying that Ireland per se doesn't have a great reputation in the culinary area.
We did sample some traditional fare with "Boxty" , Beef and Guinness Stew and finished off with a bit of a lesson in how to prepare an Irish coffee correctly. All washed down with a couple of small drinks. The dessert slection was somewaht underwhelming, leading to one of the participants asking " Are we getting any dessert?"
I would probably have preferred to get a taste of the new Irish cuisine and in smaller bite size portions (obviously more of them). Having said that I appreciate that on these tours moving from place to place can be time consuming and unpleasant with the Irish weather.
We had a great day out and I would have no hesitation in recommending the tour to others.

Hello, what’s the difference between the regular and the deluxe tours?

The deluxe tour is a dinner tour, only offered at night and is a LOT more expensive!! The regular tour is an afternoon tour, reasonably priced, and was in fact quite fabulous. We had a complete meal, lots of food, between the several restaurants - a starter at the first, main at the second and dessert and authentic Irish coffee that we were taught how to make, at the third. Adult beverages are included in the cost. And all along, we learned so much about Irish history and culture - highly recommend.
Hello,
We are coming to Dublin with a group of bakers from belgium. We are with 16persons on tuesday 12 march. Our day is already filled but we were looking for something exciting to do in the evening. Is it possible that you work something out for us? For example: a food tour that includes 6-8 stops in witch we can enjoy some local dishes and desserts. Normally we would like to start at 18:00.And we would like to finish in a bar or pub where we can dance and drink until the late hours.
Do you think this is best by bike, or by bus or that we walk through the city?
We stay at Arlington o conel bridge.
Can you rate a price per person?
Thank you a lot in advance!
Greetings,
Guy seys

Can’t remember the exact cost but for Australian dollars it was very reasonable and so worth the money.. We got so much information from our guide on history, where to go, what to do and all in a fun friendly atmosphere! Plus the food and drinks were exceptional!

Trying to decide between the basic and the deluxe tours. The reviews and photos are not tagged and the website is vague so unsure about what is included in the basic tour. If we were to to the basic tour at 6pm, is it just samples or would it be enough for dinner. Thanks for the info!

I'm not a beer drinker but my partner is. Would there be anyway to sub a pint for a glass of wine or a bit of whiskey?
