A definite MUST DO! Incredible experience! Andy was our tour guide and I could not have asked for a better guide. We were booked on the Jacobite Steam train as part of the tour. We came to a sudden stop about 45 minutes into the trip. Andy went to see the reason for the stop and came back with the grim news that there was an accident and it will be a while before the road is open again. On a very narrow road he managed to turn the coach around safely and said he will do his best to get us to the next stop that we could at least do part of the trip. We made the next stop with literally a minute to spare and for this effort I cannot thank him enough! I am a huge steam train and Harry Potter fanatic and absolutely loved the train journey to Malaig. The afternoon on the coach with Andy was great as he is extremely knowledgeable and has a great sense of humour too! Pity his kilt was at the tailors!! The tour is a definite one to add to your bucket list aa you cannot see everything on your own and I hope you are lucky enough to have Andy as your guide.

I booked with get your guide and we had our trip on the Jacobite steam train highland tour on 19/5/21 , our guide was Andy , it was he’s fist tour back since lock down, a great guy and very professional and lots of knowledge , we started in Inverness went up to fort William had lots of stops along the way to take photos of the great scenery , got the steam train and headed out to mallaig , the views were amazing the train was just great (my daughter is a Harry Potter fan and would of loved it, ) the fishing village in mallaig is small but lovely we had great fish & chips from the chippy there, a long day (12hrs) but definitely worth it and the price As well was good , social distancing on the coach was great as well no problems , we would definitely go on the trip again ,so thank you Andy for a great day .

What a great day, Dougie picked us up on time from our hotel and immediately he felt like a friend to us. The visit to the distilleries and the cooperage was fantastic and everything went like clockwork. We have great memories of the day and we would highly recommend Dougie and Highland Tours to anyone considering a Whiskey Tour

We can’t recommend Dougie and Highland Tours Inverness enough. We wanted to see a couple of the typical sites (Culloden, Clava Cairns, Glen Ord Distillery) but we also wanted to see some of the locations my husband’s family had lived. Dougie customized an itinerary for us that allowed us to see it all. He was knowledgeable and engaging from start to finish and flexible when we saw little places we wanted to stop. He also threw in places we didn’t know we’d want to see and was spot on each time. He took care of us throughout the day and when it was over we felt like we’d made a friend. We will definitely be back to Inverness and we will make sure we book with Highland Tours Inverness for any touring we want to do. Thank you Dougie!
