I visited here as I have a passion for history, and also have fond memories of the building when it was a library. I thought the interactive displays were pretty good, but was disappointed by the lack of detailed information. I visited on a Sunday...More

Located in the pedestrian friendly area between Cardiff Central Station and Cardiff Castle, this attraction is probably a good introduction to the history of the city, but it's not a place to return to over and over.

This free museum is a very good introduction to the city for anyone visiting for the first time. It gives a good historical perspective on how the city grew from its early days as a castle stronghold. The quirky nature of some of its people...More

Not a huge exhibition area but very interesting with some inter-active features. Well worth having a mooch araound and taking the kids into. Make sure you also have a look around the shop, some great Welsh items available here.

From a small market town we can learn how Cardiff became one of the busiest ports in the world in 1900 through coal exports. A free museum that is worth popping in and having a look.

Almost never bothered as it looked like it was just for kids on the entrance down. However, it is well worth a quick look around and has some interesting exhibits and interactive exhibits. The videos are short. I would also take time to glance at...More
