A beautiful old street that is still lived in today. Quaint old cottages on a cobbled street accessed by a stone arch or a tiny gateway, it doesn’t take long to look around but it’s worth a visit, I thought it was lovely and it’s...More

If we had not decided to try and walk right round the Cathedral I doubt we would have found this fascinating close. It looks as if nothing has been altered in hundreds or years and seeing the clergy in their long blue cassocks made you...More

Well worth a visit, not far from the Cathedral, this is one close where visitors are welcome, unlike other parts of the country.

A very quaint and unique row of houses very much as it was back in history. Something almost mystical. A lovely little chapel at the end worth a look.

Lovely place to visit, it’s where the choristers used to live hundreds of years ago. It’s next to the cathedral and a park, right in the city centre so plenty to see and do nearby.

Poldark fans, see which bits you recognise. Wells is the best group of medieval ecclesiastical buildings in N Europe.

Make time to find this unique attraction, it is only 200 mtrs from the cathedral entrance. Travel back in time while wandering between these amazing houses that were built for the families of choir members.
