Pleased we found the Dovecot and so pleased it's been kept in a good condition. Worth the walk to see it.

This is a great Dovecote complete with the working interior ladders and platforms. Gives a really good idea of how they worked.

I've given this an average rather than poor rating as I learned something from the information board. You see more in the images of the dovecote than the dovecote itself because it is fundamentally a dark place and the only way you would see it like it is in the images of it inside is to take a big light with you. Worth stopping on a walk around the village but it will only take a few minutes to do so.

Very well preserved medieval dovecote from outside. The plus point is being able to enter the doorway (not able to do more than just step inside and look) and see the clever rotating ladder to allow access to every nesting hole. Not worth a trip in itself but definitely one to include on your walk around this lovely village

It’s not an unpleasant circular tower from the outside but the magic is inside with niches all around for the doves and a central vertical shaft with horizontal arms to support the ladder that allowed person access when required
