A wonderful experience in such a beautiful church. Go to a service if you can.....evensong is a good introduction. The windows and architecture is stunning. See for yourself. We always call in every time we visit York.

The incredible history of this cathedral. You could spend hours and hours in and out. What a treat! We went to cathedral 3 times while we were in York. If you love history then you will love the cathedral.

Impressive from the outside & inside however, after the initial wow factor there isn't loads to see. Some interesting bits to see if the undergrowth exhibition but not sure it was worth £11pp entry (though appreciate it will cover the renovation work as needed)
