About
Pub and Paddle is a fun an unusual canoe hire experience in Norwich. We create that back to nature feeling right here in the city centre. Whether you’re an expert canoeist or have never paddled a canoe before, Pub and Paddle canoe trips are great for everyone All of our canoe rentals begin in the centre of Norwich at our Elm Hill Quay pontoon, next to The Ribs of Beef pub on Fye Bridge. You can take your time learning how to paddle and get the canoe moving. This will not take you long – our beautiful wooden canoes easily glide across the water and are very stable! Even those of you who have grown up in Norwich will be amazed at the unique feeling you get from paddling through our fine city. Being on the water is a great way to see Norwich! It is only a short distance before the river opens up to some beautiful countryside where you can take a well-earned rest in a choice of riverside pubs.

Went on the 2 hour trip. Paddled just past the football stadium and back. Great fun. We also saw 2 kingfisher. Next time will do the route to broad and have lunch in a pub.

Great way to spend a glorious autumn day. Spent 5 hours on the trip in total, with lovely stops at the Rushcutters for lunch and then a well-earned refreshment at the Ferry House at the end. We were on our way quickly, paddled leisurely, and then Nick picked us up and dropped us back in Norwich at the end (sent a text 30 mins before we needed picking up). Can't fault the experience we had.

Went on a canoeing trip with five friends this Saturday and it was superb!
Easy to book, communication via Whatsapp easy an quick, easy to find and very helpful staff at the mooring. We had lunch at Rush Cutter's Pub, and the map to find it worked, the space for mooring was easy to find, the timings to get to the pub worked and lunch was great. I am already planning when I can do my next Pub and Paddle trip.

We booked route 2 which for us was perfect, as the info says it took us about 2.5hrs to paddle to the Waters Edge pub. The guys at Pub and Paddle were great and I would certainly recommend this.

Fantastic day out on Route 1. Map provided to find the pubs. We decided to litter pick along the way, and filled up two black plastic sacks with floating plastic bottles, glass bottles, tin cans, polystyrene burger boxes and other rubbish.

Chantal, Nick, Reece, Ethan and Gabe are excellent. So friendly and helpful.

Highly recommended,

A great father and daughter time, paddling together for a couple of hours on a beautifully mild autumnal morning - felt very atmospheric and peaceful enjoying the wildlife and seeing the centre of Norwich from the river, away from the hustle and bustle. Nick looked after us superbly … would definitely recommend this experience to others !

Fantastic day. Such a funny, sunny & enthralling day, we all enjoyed it. The booking was a breeze from start to finish, detailed and informative. All staff were helpful, knowledgeable and welcoming.

We were dressed up for one of our party's significant birthday which gave much amusement to other water users and supporters on the banks of Norwich.

We were a bit rusty at first but soon got into the momentum and our "flotilla" were able to exit the city in a straight line on the right side of the river. We chose the 5hr paddle to The Waters Edge, stopping off for lunch at The Riverside, navigating the tidal waters of the broads. We managed to reach our end destination in good time to meet the boss who collected all our canoes therefore not having to paddle back again.

Weather was excellent too. Would definitely love to do this again when back in Norwich
