Really interesting collection left to the nation that is just behind Oxford street but feels off the beaten track. Well worth seeking out

This was once a family home and is very elegant. The paintings and objects are well displayed and there is great variety. The shop has some quality items.

The Wallace Collection, hidden in Mayfair just north of Oxford St above Selfridges is a rare treat. It was a private collection and is housed in a large home. Of note is the spectacular array of armour. The paintings are of special note because they...More

Is this a hidden gem ? None of my friends (all Londoners) knew anything about it other than its a museum. Dining in the big atrium is a neat experience. The food and menu is relatively simple but all very well cooked and presented. The...More

Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods
cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience.
Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged
between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the
southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of
Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as
pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The
bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it

It is fairly large and the size of the crowds does not seem to be a problem at any time.
