Great area to visit
May 2021 • Couples
Stayed nearby so walked through the Albert Docks twice daily, there is a wide range of one off shops selling speciality goods or souvenirs to a shop specialising in fudge & a couple of coffee shops too as well as restaurants such as Madre & Miller & Carter as well as the Pumphouse to name but a few, it’s also home to the Tate gallery & the National Maritime Museum, as well as a few unique food vans such as a yellow American school bus & a converted double decker, at night the fairy lights give it a more magical feel as you’re walking through, felt very safe during the day & night!

Great place to visit.

One of my favourite area's of Liverpool to visit is The Royal Albert Dock, it has everything I love ,pubs, bars and restaurants, beautiful architecture, museums, history and a waterfront location, there's so much to see, enjoy and take in ,its without a shadow of a doubt the most popular tourist destination in Liverpool, although at the moment its quiet as we are in the grip of a pandemic, the wonderful success of the vaccines and over 25 million people who have received the jab things are looking good again so very soon ,April in fact I will jump the train down from Kirkby to Liverpool City Centre and take the short walk to The Royal Albert Dock, my last visit was over the Christmas period, had a great time, the buildings all beautifully decorated and illuminated, absolutely fantastic, its a wonderful area of Liverpool to visit, most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area and when the 3rd and final lockdown is lifted.

So much to see and enjoy.

Without a shadow of a doubt one of the major tourist attractions in Liverpool is the Royal Albert Dock.
The Royal Albert Dock is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site that encompasses the Pier Head and forms one of the most ironic waterfronts in the world.
There's so much to see and so much to enjoy, great museums with free admission to most ,superb old warehouses buildings converted into pubs, bars and restaurants, an amazing abundance of statue's alluding to our musical past and our maritime history, its an extremely popular destination, I love nothing better that walking through the Royal Albert Dock complex, taking in the stunning views of the River Mersey and dropping into any one of the pubs, bars and restaurants dotted throughout the Royal Albert Dock, if your planning a trip to Liverpool most definitely well worth checking out.

Used to be the Home of This Morning
Aug 2020
The Albert Dock was the home of This Morning years ago when Richard and Judy used to present it.

Sadly the weather map has gone as well as Richard and Judy but there is still plenty of things to do at the Albert Dock.

On the edge of the River Mersey the area has been turned into a large tourist area with a number of museums to visit for free. There are some restaurants and bars as well as statues to have a look at and great views to enjoy.

When I visited there were a number of people about so try and keep socially distanced.

Without a shadow of a doubt the Royal Albert Dock complex is Liverpool's premier tourist destination, a regenerated dock area that houses all manner of pubs, bars and restaurants, museums and amazing and beautiful architecture.
Before our beautiful country was put into lockdown because of the coronavirus pandemic visited upon us my twin brother Stephen and I had a day out in our city visiting the great sites to be found and enjoying the great pubs, bars and restaurants Liverpool is justifiably famous for and a trip to the Royal Albert Dock complex combines both .
The architecture is awesome, the beautifully converted warehouses ,the Maritime Museum is superb ,the famous statues fabulous, you will find statues to The Beatles and Billy Fury paying homage to our rich musical history and statues to war heroes such as Johnny Walker ,the pubs here are fabulous, on our visit to the Royal Albert Dock complex on a Saturday afternoon we visited The Turncoat Bar The Revolution Bar, The Smugglers Cove and The Pumphouse Pub,great places to chill out in,walking around the docks is also cool ,very photogenic, makes for some great photographic opportunities.
A great dock area to visit, most definitely well worth checking out if your planning a trip to Liverpool.

The Royal Albert Dock is a marvellous area to explore, lots of superb old warehouse buildings and interesting sites ,lots of statues and innumerable pubs, bars and restaurants, it's a major tourist destination but also a popular locals haunt, the history of Liverpool as a trading and commerce city is wrote on every building in this area of Liverpool.
A great way to take in the whole of the Albert Dock complex is to start at the Pier Head and walk through to Kings Dock, you will take in all the grand buildings and museums and it's fun.
If your a keen photographer dont forget the camera as you will take some great photos.
Most definitely well worth checking out if your planning a trip to Liverpool.

If you are visiting Liverpool a trip to Albert Dock is a must! This visitor centre is a great aid to get your bearings and find out key information. The Tall Ship Festival and The Bordeaux Wine Festival were on when we visited which created an amazing atmosphere, I would highly recommended a visit!
