great sealife centre. can spend hours watching all the different fish etc. staff very knowledgeable too. kids (and adults) can complete the quiz sheet as go round and you get a prize at the end. disappointed to see the restaurant has been closed completely as used to enjoy having lunch here after walking round. shop needs more staff watching people going round also, as one family helped themselves to soft toys before legging it down the stairs.

Fascinating!
Sep 2021
There were lots of interesting fish to see, all in decent homes and being well looked after. I particularly liked the large shark tank. This is a place for people who like animals and like viewing them up close.

An excellent way to spend a couple of hours
Sep 2021
Plenty of marine life to see and a pleasant way to spend a couple of hours. The highlight is the glass tunnel with sharks, stingrays and a giant turtle.

Peaceful and informative

Bought as part of a combo ticket for Blackpool to make it more economical. Spent about 1hr 15min there. Lots of exhibits and nicely laid out. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The tanks with the rays, sharks and turtle (amongst other marine life) were great to watch. One had an underwater tunnel which was great and there was a seating area with a fantastic view of the tank, very relaxing to watch.

Not covid friendly
Sep 2021 • Family
Not the best sealife we’ve been to, quite boring and disappointing. Don’t feel the animals are looked after as much as other places. Too many people packed in, they don’t seem to care about covid anymore, which is very off putting. Done it once, won’t go back.

Hello, Thank you for reviewing Blackpool SEA LIFE Centre. Here at SEA LIFE Blackpool we have introduces extra measure since COVID 19. Firstly we have introduced time slots with limited capacities to ensure social distancing can take place and we have placed markers all the way through the attraction which are set at 2 meters. Thank you for your feedback. We hope to see you again soon. Kind Regards, Tom.

Expensive but a bit boring.

Expected more from it for the cost. Bit of a rip off really. Toilets weren't great but there was a cleaner going around. Heard staff saying there was 91 people in the aquarium and it was noticeable.

Wouldn't return as I've been to better and bigger ones. It was a bit boring to say the least. The fish tanks were grubby but there was cleaning scrapers about.

Hello, Thank you for writing a review on SEA LIFE Centre Blackpool. We do have many discount vouchers in circulation to help reduce the price for guests wanting to visit SEA LIFE Blackpool. Unfortunately in warmer season we do see an increase in condensation on the first half of tanks due to them being native tanks meaning the water inside needs to be at a colder temperature. Thank you for your feedback. We hope to see you again soon. Kind Regards, Tom.

Hello, Thank you for writing a review on SEA LIFE Blackpool. Here at Blackpool SEA LIFE we have over 2000 animals in over 50 displays and would encourage everybody to spend at least one minute at each tank learning about the animals which would make a visit 50 minutes, this is without listening to any of the talks going on within the centre or speaking to any of our members of staff. We also get that to some people we could be expensive, this is why we have loads of discount offers in circulation to try and make the price cheaper. Thank you for your feedback, all feedback is apricated. We hope to see you again soon. Kind Regards, Tom.

Great time
Aug 2021 • Family
Absolutely fab day! My son loved it and his favourite was the Stingray friendly staff and some fascinating creatures (loved the giant turtle!)

There was a young lady giving a talk at the end by the giant tank and she was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable as well as friendly. Unfortunately I can’t remember her name, but it was 23rd August at around 3.15 (If I recall it was quite a unique name) but regardless she deserves praise :)

Unfortunately due to being outside school holidays our opening times have changed to out of peak ours meaning we open at 10 and shut at 3 during the week. In regards to online saying we open at 9 we do recommend you checking our website as google doesn't always update straight away. We hope to see you again in future. Kind Regards, Tom.

Never again!

The Sea Life experience is a half and half review.

The first half is so poor its not worth the admission price. Some tanks where empty or had little fish and every single one had condensation due to the humidity (a first I've experienced across all the Sea Life's) I've been too. They know it's a problem as they have placed squeegees. Only problem is people would take them with them so most of the time your rubbing the glass with your hand. Not so great when there is no social distancing being taken.

The second half was much better (hence a 2 * review) and had a wide variety of sea life to see.

I wouldn't revisit again as Blackpool in general is so run down and dirty it's not a place I ever want too return too. Beware that right outside and around the area of where sea life is situated you will come across many drunks and people on drugs even before noon. There is little everywhere and general state of building are in disrepair.

Hello, Thank you for taking time out your day to review SEA LIFE Centre Blackpool. Unfortunately due to the heat and the first half of the centre being a native area the water in these tanks need to be a lower temperature which does result in condensation. We have placed the squeegees there to combat this issue and do have people walking round to check in any are missing. We hope to see you again soon. Kind Regards, Tom.
