Experience an ocean....of people.

We came here as a family, Myself, my wife, two boys and our 20 month old twins.

Pros
Some really beautiful fish and others creatures to look at and plenty of information boards on aforementioned creatures.

Cons
The crowds were huge, which with a pushchair with twins was a challenge to say the least.
At times you would have to stand against a wall and wait for an opening to continue, it's great having the old 2 metre rule if most people don't care less and practically come face to face with you.

The heat was too much, obviously with crowds comes heat and when you are wearing a mask to be sensible with crowds of folk thinking it's fine to practically sit on your knee.

The VR experience which we pre-booked and stood in the line which felt like an eternity for, only to have people wonder up buy a ticket and end up on before us.

Lastly the lift. Having a lift at the entrance is great but not having a seperate one for the exit not so much.
Upon leaving I followed the arrows to the lift while my wife took our older boys down the stairs through the gift shop.
As I'm following the signs it occurs to me I'm being sent back through the building to the start which with crowds of people herding towards you is a nightmare to say the least.
After 20 minutes battling my way out I finally tasted much needed fresh air.

All in all its worth a visit but personally I'd wait for a quieter time, perhaps a week day when the kids go back to school.

Overpriced
Jul 2021 • Family
They have an extensive range of sea creatures which are obviously well looked after and displayed well, but it's just too expensive for what it is. £35 for 2 adults and 2 children which was half price with a Kellogs code - even this was too much. We were around it in 45 mins and it was crammed full of people and hot, so didn't feel safe.

Very little to see and very expensive for what you get we went in with our two children 9 and 4 and where done in 40 minutes! It was very hot inside and vastly over crowded, complete lack of social distancing rules. The octonaughts for the kids was one guy in a costume stood behind a table and that was about it, complete waste of money.

Lip service to COVID
Jun 2021 • Family
Enjoyed the attraction itself but had prebooked a timed visit and expected good COVID controls as a result. Social distancing was non-existent, even with staff. Many visitors followed you around, less than an inch from my arm and the place was packed. It made me really uncomfortable and ruined what would ordinarily have been a great day out.
