This reserve has many paths and routes covering several habitats. It is easy to navigate and has several hides that provided very welcome rest and shade on two very hot days.

Car parking in Rye Harbour is free (they ask for a donation only. The car park is adjacent to a crumbling Martello Tower which you can walk around the edge of but can't to close to as it is secured from the public. I know...More

Beautiful place to walk with your dog, birds are plenty and it has a Hide. The ice cream van has delicious ice creams (cherry) my fav and they only charge £1 so that’s great for families.

The birdlife is amazing! We visited on a glorious summer's day and were enthralled by all we saw. It is a flat walk which is important for anybody with mobility issues. It was great to see families walking and out on their bikes enjoying nature....More

It is a good walk, but I would recommend that the walk from Rye is a bit long, as there is a good walk to the sea once you get there!! And that is not to be missed...but if refuelling Bosons Bite at the harbour is the place... More

The Rye circular walk via Winchelsea is about 7 miles, but there are are plenty of shorter (or longer) ones you could choose.

Gill, a bike is the best way to get around. The private tarmac road extends for about 5km and there are other tracks to make circular routes.
