This a one the most beautiful cathedrals we have visited. Not overly expensive unless you want to do the full tour. Lovely stain glass windows including one for the RAF.

It is well worth going into the cathedral if you are in Ely. The octogon is magnificent. It is also possible to climb the tower if you are feeling energetic and this gives you a great view of the town.

I love cathedrals and this one doesn’t disappoint. How the hell they built these things so beautifully, so long ago, is beyond me. The ceiling in particular is amazing. If you’re anywhere near Ely you won’t regret visiting.

A cathedral to visit for the architecture and beautuful glass rather than a religious type pilgrimage. It has ramps etc to make getting around the main church easy but the gallery museum is not accessible. The volunteers dotted about are not the most cheerful or...More

A short trip to the Ely Cathedral from Cambridge is well worth it. The cathedral is quite outstanding in its art and decorative ceiling. The grounds are very pleasing as well.

Not too far, about ten or fifteen minutes, along the river, then through the gardens and park, and along The Gallery to the West door.
