Unique and delicious!
Aug 2021
Sampled the garlic vodka in a Caesar drink at the Expo Centre. Fabulous! This distillery is a sponsor of the Edmonton Stingers Basketball Team and we met several very friendly women representing the company at a display table set up at the CEBL Championships.

Once we arrived home, we checked out the website and ordered several bottles to be mailed back to Ontario. We received the well wrapped bottles within a week of ordering. The garlic vodka is definately a big hit; but so is the double double, the sour cherry vodka , the blueberry vodka and the butter tart schnapps !

We won't hesitate to order more!

Wow what a great tour and excellent variety of spirits

the owner was very friendly and passionate about his distillery. Most of the ingredients from local farmers. The rye whiskey, potatoe vodka and coffee liquor were exceptional. The new distillery and meet and greet town will be awesome when it is done next yearm

Must see!
Jun 2018 • Couples
This place makes such a pure product I was so impressed. Their brum tastes like Captain Morgans spiced but without as much sugar taste to it. The raspberry vodka literally tastes like its had raspberries soaked in there and same as the brum it didn't have that super sugary taste to it.
Their tour is very informative and they even give you a drink at the end!

The garlic vodka was my favorite. But we also enjoyed the raspberry vodka, brum, London fog gin and the double double creamer (I think that's what it was called..)

We were informed they do events there and we had a peek at the room, I would highly suggest if you're planning a stag/stagette/work function you do it there! We ended up buying 5 bottles

Rig Hand products
Jan 2018 • Solo
Rig Hand Distillery produces the most amazing product all made from vodka and local ingredients from local Albertian farmers. I have just about every product made from here. The most important aspect is that the product is placed into custom made RIG Derrick bottles (which can be returned for a great return on deposit). A few items are limited edition ones but well worth it. I have a few. Don't be a stranger come to Nisku for a free tour and try some samples won't regret it one bit. Don't forget to try the Brum, Double double, Zambuca, Sour Cherry and many more. This is my go to place for local craft distillery. Get off your couch and visit them now doors open at noon Monday to Saturday till 5:30pm. 10 gold stars

Great Spot

Great tour behind the scenes.

Was something different and was a great spot for a staff function. Allowed mingling and options for all.

Definitely a spot to consider.

Very knowledgeable guide through the facility. The owner and staff are very friendly and eager to tell their story and success through the use of local raised farm products. Excellent presentation.

Stopped in for a Tour
Apr 2017 • Friends
We were travelling in the area and heard that you can stop in anytime for a tour. They were very accommodating and showed us their facility and had a free tasting for just to two of us! We loved the Wild Rose Infused Gin and the Garlic Vodka as well as the Double Double. My Garlic Vodka was a huge hit on the houseboat this summer for Caesar Sunday and it disappeared quickly.

The owner showed us around and was obviously living his passion. They source local ingredients and have put a lot of thought into their product line - well worth stopping in if your are going through Leduc for a tour. If you are looking for a place to hold an event such as a stag/stagette or a business team building event their tasting room would be ideal.

Fantastic Local Distillery
Apr 2017 • Couples
I love Big Rig! The tour is great; who doesn't love a behind the scenes sneak peak followed by free testing of the goods. The Garlic Vodka is amazing in ceasers, the Brum (rum) is my favourite and Double Cream for coffee is the best breakfast treat ever. And probably best of all if you return your empties to the distillery you get $2 back per bottle!!! I highly recommend you give them a try.

Hello Garlic Vodka!
Dec 2016 • Couples
First of all, you can't pass up a free tour at any distillery. That's what pulled us in! After the tour and tasting I was blown away. Never was a ceasar fan until I was introduced to the Garlic Vodka that they make here. Locally grown ingredients in everything they brew. Well done big rig distillery...Oops I mean Rig Hand Distillery. This is the only alcohol I drink now. Cheaper going to the distillery then to a liquor store.
