Hiked up to this lovely little gem. This was a place that was considered holy to the ancient Celts of the area, and when water levels are low you can see large rocks with Celtic symbols carved in. The hike i fairly easy, but mostly uphill. Night hiking is not recommended because of boars and other large animals in the area.

The lesser well-known lake in the area, Lago Baccio is a little gem nestling under the imposing Giove mountain. It rivals the Lake District for drama, beautiful light and peace and quiet. It is well worth continuing up to the Rondinaio peak to look back at the lake and its surroundings.

Pretty little lake! Just water and mountain scenery...and plenty uphill hikes possible.
It's a 25 minutes uphill hike from Lago Santo [the "tourist trap" lake with silly parking fees to be paid in summer!!].

Con il bambino nello zaino porta bimbo si può andare senza troppa fatica, il tragitto non è lungo e anche il dislivello non è eccessivo.

Sì è possibile portare il cane. Per il bagno non saprei, è più indicato il lago santo.
