Awesome and Amazing Experience in the land of "whites"!
What an awesome and amazing experience to be here in the land of "whites"! It's a wonderful and great feeling that unless you are here, one will not be able to feel the power and beauty of our mother's nature! Everywhere you see from here are all in white, i.e. mountains and lands covered by snow! And if you think Mt Titlis is already very tall and cold, you are wrong! This is even higher and colder. After riding on the train that brings us here, we are in the land of snow or ice and everything we see, touch and feel, especially those who come from the tropical countries, it's really stunning! It's cold though not as cold as we have expected, you can choose to stay indoors to enjoy the scenery or go outside to experience the snow yourself. For some, you may feel suffocated due to the lack of oxygen and if so, quickly go into the building but if possible, try at least to walk a while and experience the "once in a lifetime" snow tracking experience, seeing your footprints! Go slow and speak slow, you should be fine! We enjoyed our walk here and do checkout my other reviews about Jungfrau here in the next few posts! High recommended.

Couldn't see thr Great Alestch Glacier, neither the Jungfrau, Monch nor Eiger peaks
Once the Jungfraujoch train arrived the Jungfraujoch peak, it leaded us towards the Sphinx Observatory. Underneath the Observatory, there were also other attractions like the Alpine Sensation, Ice Palace, Lindt Swiss Chocolate Heaven...etc. We entered the lift which ascended 108m to the top in just 25 sec. Once we arrived, we headed straight up the stairs and queued for the pictures with the Top of Europe sign like every body did. We didn't come on a good day as it was heavily snowed with strong wind. We couldn't see the UNESCO World Heritage Great Alestch Glacier, neither the Jungfrau, Monch nor Eiger peaks as it was just all white out there when we arrived. We were very disappointed but we always knew there was a risk if we came in May. Nevertheless, the observatory deck itself was great. We did take picture with the "Crushed Landing on You" sign. We also went onto the plateau to take pictures with the Swiss flags and rolled ourselves on the snow under the heavy snow and strong wind. It was an unforgettable experience but still gutted that we didn't see what we planned for the whole year. Afterall, it's not cheap (CHF 160.60) with our Swiss Travel Passes. (without discount was CHF 214).

Crash Landing on You filming location!
This is one part of the Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe attraction. In the circuit they have in this area, this is one of the segments, where you have to take an elevator up to the observatory. From there, you'll see the view of the Aletsch Glacier and the beautiful snowcapped mountains of the Bernese Alps. I went during the opening time and so couldn't gauge the crowd situation accurately, but at my time, it wasn't crowded at all.

We first visited Jungfraujoch way back in 1995, and have never been back. We decided on a week in Wengen, and a return trip to Jungfraujoch. The train was predictably busy with tourists.
When we got off the train at the top, the restaurant area was chaos. Too many people squeezed in together. We went up to the sphinx observation tower, had a look around the summits, then went out on the glacier. I hiked up to Mönchsjochhütte and back. The cafe area was absolutely packed. We had a coffee each, a waste of money, is was the most expensive and crap coffee I’ve ever had, and went in the bin. Save your money and have a drink on the way down at Eigergletscher.
A must see trip, if you like doing it with most of the visitors to Switzerland at the same time.

This is the Top of Europe, the Sphinx Observatory. As the name suggests, this is a place from where you can view the snow capped mountains and the views are breathtaking. You can see it from the inside the Observatory or you can step out on the observatory viewing deck outside. You can feel the wind and chill . The feeling being out there is amazing. The air is thin, so take care of you and don't stay out for too long.

Also, take as many photos & video as you like as everything around is picturesque.

Must visit

Everything very nice but the place needs two things ; all the shops open for the public.it was disturbing reaching the place and not being able to sip a coffee or something.second and most important the place needs heated windows at the top,at the Sphinx observatory.it was cold and windy so we couldn’t see anything outside because of the ice…it was an outstanding experience though.

The views, as every comments on, were amazing. The price as an add-on to some other region package was high. The price for only a "Top of Europe" ticket was ridiculous. Before you go check the webcams to see how the view is - the day I went it was awesome, but I've heard on some days it's foggy, cloudy, etc. There were nine "tours" as they call them, or attractions. They are not tours but things to see/do. Check on these as well since some to many can be closed, and your admission price is the same! The Ice Cave, Observatory, and outdoor tour #9 (not easy to find) were the best. Awesome views - take lots of pictures. Enjoy it and try not to think of how much it's costing you!!!

the astronomical observatory provided splendid views of the summit and areas around..a platform comes out of it which can be a little tricky to walk .. It is one of the highest observatories in the world..
