About Diveria Diving Center
Our new fully equipped Centre provides quality diving opportunities together with guaranteed customer satisfaction.. In our effort to ensure divers feel comfortable at all times, safety is our number one priority. We are a young highly motivated "team" aiming to provide the best service available. Personal interaction is very important to us and, together with offering a quality service, our aim is that divers arrive as customers but leave as friends! We welcome everyone to our beautiful relaxing spot away from the hustle and bustle of tourism, everyone from beginners to the most professional. Our daily guided dives around the island are always conducted in small groups. There is, however, a second option to dive from the boat in the harbor of Los Gigantes (West) or in the harbor of Las Galletas (South). The diving we offer around the island of Tenerife (a volcanic island) with its impressive rock formations and breathtaking caves and caverns is guaranteed to make every diver's heart beat faster. Here one finds aquatic life in all it's splendour on every dive - angel sharks, rays of various kinds, octopus, cuttlefish, turtles and many more. A free shuttle service is available from your hotel/accommodation to the Diving Centre and back.

Amazing diving center in the south of Teneriffe. Katja and Bella took it over 2 years ago and are doing now an incredible job of continuing to spread passion for diving! They know everything they are doing and are trying to help in every possible situation. The diving center has a very good location, with a big variety of different dive spots with different animals. Bella is an amazing and very calm instructor, who is always very happy when he can show you some beautiful fishes and other animals. I did 10 dives with him and will definitely continue to do even more. Totally recommendable and friendly diving center!!!

I did OWD here and I'm very happy with the course. The diving site is amazing. It's got some sandy places for practice and rocky formations for exploring. It's also a home to beautiful fauna and some protected species with a high chance of seeing. During a course I felt I'm in good hands. Bela, the instructor, gave me a great intro to a new, hidden world I had no idea about. I highly recommend the course, the site and the centre.

I have been diving with several dive centers in Tenerife and the best has been the Diveria. The team is very professional and they do their best to exceed clients expectations. The equipment is good, installations clean and every dive with them a great experience. Looking forward to dive with them again!!

We can highly recommend this dive center! Katja, Bela and Carlos are super friendly, very professional and we really enjoyed going diving with them. The equipment and the facilities are in top condition (incl. warm shower) and they make sure that the gear is disinfected properly after usage (disinfection against COVID). We did 4 dives with them and we were surprised how rich underwater life is in Alcala, we even saw rays and a turtle. During the dives, we felt very safe, there was no rush, and it was amazingly relaxing. We are really looking forward to dive with you again! Many thanks for everything, it was a lot of fun!

I was trained as a divemaster plus EFR and Rescue ( full course not an internship) with Diveria which result in a negative experience. Despite their friendliness and chill style, being trained as a divemaster here is disorganizing, uninspiring, and neglecting. At the result, I decided to quit when the situation became really bad and communication didn´t work with them. I was looking for a place to give me a proper training, I have explained my expectations and condition clearly. Thus, they had known before accepting to train me. Most of the great reviews were from the previous owners. The new owner (Bela) just took over the business in the beginning for this year. He had never worked in the dive industry before and just become Divemaster Leader with the previous owner. I found Bela was chill and friendly , but the more time I spent with him, he started to show negative attitude towards diving business and lack of knowledge: - Oral inflating no needs to press the deflator button while blowing. - No decompression limit is the same as oxygen toxicity. - Quick-release weight belt can be warren either side. - SMB isn´t mandatory - Sea star doesn´t move. - Do not want to take a spare tank for safety. Moreover, he thinks his dive centre is the best and often talk negatively about other dive centres, sometimes about his costumers. His negative attitude made me uncomfortable. Personally, I wouldn´t mind his inexperience if he showed his motivation in diving and progressing. During training, most of the time the dive centre was always closed. Sometimes they closed the dive centre to spend time in the café, take a long lunch break, closed the shop in the early afternoon. Many times, I was left without plan and didn´t want I will be doing in the following day. We started with the deal reaching 40 dives (25 dives) in 2 weeks for me to be able to train (those dives should be excluded in training dives from Rescue or divemaster), almost a month, I hadn´t reached 40 dives yet, plus some dives were less than 20 minutes and 5 metres). We normally did 1 dive per day and not even every day, rationally, we could do 2 or 3 dives per days easily but the owner didn´t want to drive far (20 to 40 minutes) and carry the tanks. I mostly dove in their house reef ( 5 minutes walks) even so it´s very hard to push them to go diving. It´s very important to learn in different dives site. My instructor is Carlos. He is very skilful, relax, and easy-going. He is very good for beginners to booth up people´s confidence and reduces anxiety. However, he is new for a professional training course and needs to gain experience in the teaching method. I found it quite hard to learn from him. He mixed rescues exercise with a divemaster, skip, and shorten exercise. I could understand due to his first experience training a divemaster, however, he disregarded my concerns about training. I tried to have a conversation and see the training plan together. It has never been clear the schedule and process of training. I doubted with all the rate and practising. I was told that I am good and got 5 almost everywhere. In reality, I didn´t feel confident and as I learned through the instructor manual book, he didn´t follow it, skipped, and combined some exercises which shouldn´t be done like this. I tried to share my concern with them since the beginning but it never reached them, worse to be told that I am worried too much and should just relax and don´t worry. After 3 weeks of no going anywhere, didn´t receive EFR and rescues properly, at the same time, that Carlos has an injury. Everything was getting worse. In the worst case is they don´t want to receive any helps from others. My friend who is an instructor was willing to help them in the dive centre without receiving pay as they have only one instructor. The previous owner wants to help them with dive centre management and divemaster training. The new owner doesn´t want. The last straw arrives when I saw that it´s not possible to finish everything properly. I spoke up with Bale and asked for another instructor or quit, which honestly I would like to finish my course with them and negotiate. Bela didn´t seem to care about my concern and treat me like a client. He told me everything is up to me, but I have to decide otherwise I will not be able to dive with them that day ( which I haven’t reached 40 dives yet). The new instructor looks trustable and emphasized but I doubted with Bela. He pushed me to decide. When I asked him to answer by the following morning. He assumed that I don´t trust the new instructor and better I quit and collect my equipment. I explained my mistrust of him. Following day, he didn´t even smile to me, he asked me to bring thing back and told me ´´ if you don´t trust me how can I trust you´´. He told me since the beginning I didn´t put the trust in my instructor and his process, and I will have a problem with people in the future. I have to consult the previous owner who has experience in the diving world and is a technical diver, on the top of that, the course director. I have been trying to make it works and want to allow them. In the end, I am a customer who pays for the course and being treat in this way. They fail to transfer the good role model of PADI professional divers and passion for diving. I couldn´t resist that they are good on a short course like discovery dive. But for the professional courses, they are not ready.

It is unfortunate that we had to stop the training with Arisa, but we tried, we all did, however at some point it has become clear that we cannot continue to let ourselves even more exploited. A few facts which Arisa conveniently didn't mention, lie or twisted: Arisa came to us with 6 dives and no clue what diving is. She left with approximately 40 dives, certified Rescue and EFR and about 70% Divemaster training complete. There was plenty of time to finish, but sadly she just lacked the trust in everybody. For all this she barely paid any money, after hours and hours of training and fun diving. In fact, Arisa was just unhappy from day 1 about anything and everything. She always wanted more and for free (more free training, free equipment and so on). Not to mention that one of our worst experiences were when things started to disappear from our dive center. Despite all this, as I explained her a few times, we always try to find a way and make customers happy, but this time we were defeated by a very twisted person. In fact thinking back, it was all just a show so that Arisa pays the absolute minimum possible. A few facts about me(Bela): diving for over 9 years in many places around the world and worked directly in client facing jobs for over 20 years. It is also a fact that I have never met before such a conniving, calculating, manipulating and untrustworthy person before. However she is clearly a great opportunist and a fantastic exploiter of the kind. Good luck with such an attitude. We know we did the best possible but we have to work with what we got....... So, we will keep doing our best and give customers the best experience we can and other reviews speak for themselves. Some people have fun ruining reputations, meanwhile we are working hard to provide a high quality service to our guests so that they enjoy their vacations in Tenerife.
