We were so lucky to get the opportunity to come to a night zoo on Saturday night.
We have been many times in the day but finally came for a night tour and the kids were amazed at how active all of the nocturnal animals were. Very different to seeing them in the day time.
We were part of a small group of guests guided by a couple of zookeepers. The keepers were very interactive with us all and took the time to stop at each exhibit and tell us about the animals, conservation and things we can do to help.
We even got to pat some of the animals and held a snake at the end.
We had a pram with us and it was great to see they have continued to upgrade the pathways making it even more accessible than last time.
Highly reccomend the night tour!!
Definitely have dinner before you go as the Cafe obviously isn't open in the night time.

Really lovely, clean zoo. We’ve been twice now and it’s never busy. Your view of the animals is never impeded. Some of the animals could do with better living conditions ie softer ground to sleep on instead of just concrete but they seem happy enough. The food is pretty good. And reasonably priced. $100 for a family of 5 for lunch and drinks. The cost of animal encounters was a bit confusing. I was sure if it was $40 for all or $75 for some. $75 was a lot for a brief moment encounter which was disappointing but always a good day regardless

Impressive small zoo. Easy to navigate with young children (under 10) who loved the exhibits. Swinging monkey enclosures particularly popular, but also the many well designed and animal friendly enclosures. Koalas a big hit as well as the friendly wandering emu and (enclosed, but curious) meerkats. Tropical bush land meant a lovely cool walk even though it was the middle of the day. Have been to this zoo a few years back and the improvements are remarkable and those involved in the transformation should be very proud of their efforts! Highly recommended for a young family. Note: We took our own food and water so we did not utilize the services of the shop.

We found this little zoo to be a better sized zoo than australia zoo.
The kids loved seeing the animals roaming around.
The only downside was NO train.
Master 4 was excited to go on a train ride but this seems to be deleted from the establishment.
Another downside was the hyenas with their dead kangaroo carcuss. Not only was the stench vile, it can be scary for little humans to see.
Maybe a sign in the area would assist families to either wander down or pass the area.
The food is a little over-priced we thought.
It would be great if families were able to take their own food for picnics.
Not really pram friendly in some areas with the rocks on some of the walking tracks.
We didn’t let things didn’t dampen our visit.

An idyllic, calming & natural tropical setting for these well-loved & well-cared for animals. It is a lot bigger than I thought it would be. The staff are knowledgeable & there are many opportunities for photos & interaction with the animals. Each animal enclosure discloses its status of endangerment & other interesting background information.
At $39 per adult, we thought it was good value for money & well-worth supporting.

We overall enjoyed our time at Wildlife HQ.
Pros:
• Entry was decent priced.
• Easy to find our way around the zoo, wasn't crowded with too many people.
• Enjoyed seeing some of the animals up close and some even free roaming.
• Both children teenager and toddler aged enjoyed their time, especially lemur Island.
Cons:
• Cafe was over priced and food unfortunately wasn't enjoyable.
• Animal encounters weren't happening the day we visited - i.e. photos and feeding.

Was recommended by workmates to visit Wildlife HQ and what a fantastic zoo it is! You can get up close with the animals and there is so much to see! The park isn't extremely huge and alot of the walkways are shaded so you won't feel hot and sweaty after a few hours of walking. Most importantly, it was easy to find the animals in their enclosures and shelters so there were lots of great photo opportunities! Our family favourite were the gibbons. They were absolutely adorable and extremely entertaining!!! We could've sat and watched them for ages but there was heaps more to experience! Overall: Excellent value for money and certainly worth the visit!

An absolute pleasure to be there! The animals are well cared for and happy & we loved the cages through the tops of the trees for the serval cats.
The staff were so friendly and helpful. Our 10yo son had an animal experience with the beautiful lemurs and he will never forget it. Worth every cent!
We will go back again and again. And it's not huge so your not exhausted when leaving. 😊

If I take my dad in a wheelchair will we be able to view the animals?

Hi Kathy,
Some path is bitumen and paved and other areas are grassed and a little trickier but most people manage to get by.
We are always happy to assist in any way we can during your visit and we can always have you drive down into the main zoo and unload him at presentation park if that is easier on you both.
How much time should I allow for our visit? I am asking as I hope to see other attractions on the same day...

You will definitely have plenty of time to visit the zoo in a day. I had 4 kids with me who lingered at their favourite animals and we needed up going over our time because we loved the walk in enclosure where all the kangaroos were that you could feed along with the farm animals. 3-4 hrs is more than sufficient and that included us eating lunch there. I would guarantee purchasing the zoo entry ticket along with the pineapple train ticket so you can get a tour around the pineapple plantation and hitch a ride to the entry and back to the exit. If you get the train - you should park by the big pineapple and not the zoo entry.
