Had an absolute ball with my grandaughter at TreeTop Challenge. Scared myself stupid.. but was very proud of myself for facing my fears... I turn 60 next week!
Staff were excellent and it is really well organised. Equipment is sturdy and reliable.
It was very hot, but they had drinking taps available, to help cool you down. Other participants were very respectful of each other.

We have done this in Tasmania last year and loved it. So knowing they were on the Sunshine Coast, we signed up to do it again this year. The big issue is that we only had enough time to do 2 courses out of a possible 6 because of the amount of people they booked in for the session. Clearly money comes before the quality of the time they provide the customers. Everyone had to do one of the beginners courses before moving onto another course. Due to the amount of people booked in for the session, we waited 40 minutes to get onto the first course, then multiple waiting periods throughout the course for the people in front, then again at the next course. Once we finished the second course, we were told that due to the amount of time people were taking to finish, they had to shut it down as the next sessions was due to commence. What a joke. You hand over your well earned money only to find that they book in so many people that only results in major waiting times and minimal exposure to the course. Whilst the course itself is very good (for the 2 we got to go on), it is obvious their business model is more focused on numbers that result in dollars than allowing those paying to participate in more than 2 of the 6 available courses. Not very happy.

We had a great day out at the treetop challenge. My 9 year old son wasnt tall enough to do the last 2 challenges but we actually didnt have time in the end.
I only completed the 2 beginner courses and found them exhausting, terrifying (not a big fan of heights) and fun. Hubby and son also did the red course which they enjoyed.
You do need a moderate level of fitness and strength-even for the beginner courses. I was sore in the arms for a few days afterwards.
The staff we interacted with were great, really helpful. The kitting up and safety briefing does take a while (about 40 mins) so its worth been aware of this.
I would recommend booking the earliest time possible if you are wanting to do all of the courses. We arrived at 1130 and only had time to do the green, purple x2 and red course before the park closed. A few things impacted on this. It was busy so there were queues for each course-husband and son waited about 40 mins in line for the red course.
Then when you are on the course if there are slow/scared/young etc people ahead of you this can really slow things down. I struggled on one of the activities and was very aware that I was causing a traffic jam. It would be great if they could implement some way of safe overtaking or rest spots half way through each course. I witnessed one little boy get completely freaked out mid way through the red course, he was with one parent who was behind him trying to coax him along. He was crying and wanting to come down. The staff member who came over (on the ground) told him there was no way to get him down and he needed to keep going. She asked if he wanted her to go help him a few times but didnt end up going up. It was great that he managed to achieve the course but it meant about a 20 minute wait for everyone else on the course whilst he crossed one activity.
The other thing to be aware of is there is no food available. For those there for a full day I would recommend taking some food and even just leaving it in your car to get during the day as needed. There is a cafe next door at the big pineapple.

Overcoming fear was the greatest challenge for me and the course set up provided all sorts of obstacles to test you to the limit. Wonderful experience, run by a well oiled team 👌

Totally loved this place. Something for all ages.
Scenery is fabulous (and you are in the shade!)
Quality equipment, friendly, knowledgable staff. Challenges for everyone and so much excitement.
I took my 9 year old grandaughter to the junior courses but definitely want to go back and try the senior courses myself with friends.
Highly recommend

Absolutely brilliant activity for families and a MUST DO on the Sunshine Coast! We visited with our 8 year old, with the intention of completing the Junior Challenge (Age 3 to 9) . After the safety briefing was completed, he set out to start the challenge and completely froze on the platform of the practice zip line. The staff were absolutely amazing and so patient with our nervous son. After a good 10 minutes of building his trust, he set out down the practice zip line. A big smile was on his face with adrenaline pumping through his veins and he was set and raring to go in conquering the adults challenge. We spent a memorable 3 epic hours completing the 2 x beginner courses and 1 x intermediate course surrounded by the beautiful canopy of trees. There is plenty of shade, viewing platforms and walkways to take photos, along with the presence of all the super friendly and helpful staff walking around the park. You guys rock and have a very well kept facility. We can’t wait to come back.

A good variety of fun challenges and options for different fitness levels. Good value, with 5 or 6 different courses with options to take short cuts or extend. I'm 63 and my kids are early 30s and we all managed the intermediate course and the shorter version of the advanced. There's a junior course too for younger kids. We'd all like to come back and have another go!

Can you just spectate from the ground without paying the course fee to get in?

Hi Stacey, yes you can! No charge except at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary where you'll be charged a $15 spectator fee :)
