Don't be put off by the iron gates across the door (which makes the church look inaccessible). These aren't locked and are installed to stop birds from nesting in the porch. The stained glass windows are in a very good condition and the church seems...More

After visiting the wonderful walled garden in Mells, and leaving through the side entrance onto the street, the adjacent street leads down to St.Andrews's Church. A lovely experience browsing local history, the honourable local people who fought in the two wars, so peaceful... Fine architecture...More

Your heart lifts as you spy this church through the hedgerows. It is next to the manor house owned by the Horners who brought Eri Gill, Lutyens, Burne-Jones, William Nicholson and Alfred Munnings to add to the church fabric and magic. See Munnings' rare sculpture...More

Walking to view the lovely patish church and the Rector stopped to show us around. They have historical sheets describing the interior and exterior.

Take time to view stained glass East window/the Lutyens monument/the two wall art works - aha, you must find. Sit and reflect in peace. A gem with atmosphere like Mells everywhere.
