Very nice place to go with an amazing view. The castello is located in a small village with very nice handcraft shops. It really worth for a morning or afternoon.

Located in the small village (really super small) of Populonia this castle was not open when we visited but it is very beautiful to walk around there and enjoy the stunning sights of the Mediterranean sea and picturesque character of Populonia.

One of the most beautiful and breathtaking places that I have ever seen. There are some walks through the mountains that bring you to nice hidden beaches

Tremendous views from the tower. A pleasant short trip from San Vincenzo along a beautiful bay. Parking by the hour but cheap enough. Worth the detour if on the way to Piombino.

If you are at Baratti beach (or just passing that way) you should definitely head up towards the little village, castello and tower. It is pretty enough in itself but the main reason to go is the stunning views to be had across the Golfo...More
