Saw several bands here over the years in the theatres old guise and have been once after the revamp.

The theatre has been a staple for decades - many Sydney residents will recall having seen bands here down the years. The place is on a main road and there are a mass of eateries nearby for pre or after show food and drink options. If you are coming by public transport then there is a train station not far away.

The place itself looks a lot classier than the fairly dated situation previously. It's a lot brighter the sound seemed OK on my one post-refurb visit. Finding your seat is easy and even at the back I had an OK view.

We love the Enmore! Over the years we have seen so many great acts with Cowboy Junkies and LP being the most recent. The sound system is very poor however, certainly loud with banks of speakers on both sides of the stage but the quality is really bad, boomy poorly mixed, everything is on max reverb. It also varies greatly depending on where you sit. We had front row seats for Cowbow junkies but had to move to the middle back to get a reasonable balance. LP last night got annoyed because the reverb was so high. From memory the sound used to be much better a few years ago. I do love the Enmore though and hope they can fix whatever the problem is.

We went to see Julia Jacklin at the Enmore last night and I have to say, the audio mix was the worst I have ever experienced.. For at least the first 40 mins the base dominated and we could barely make out Julia's beautiful and subtle voice over it. Also the lights were blinding! I'm not sure if this was intensional but having the combination of both the blinding lights and the over the top. base made it a very unpleasant experience. I will think twice before returning to this theatre..

The concert would have been fantastic if it were not for the distraction of the truely appalling seats in the Lounge area. The seat pitch is so skinny that being squashed up against my neighbours detracted massively from the enjoyment of the performance. The seat pitch is so narrow and awful it makes economy class on Garuda and Aeroflot seem like luxury by comparison

I recently visited the Enmore theatre during the Sydney Comedy Festival. It was a great venue, the venue was very organised with the strict covid restrictions and overall felt very safe. Really enjoyed AKMAL.

We saw Tommy Little here and he was hilarious. We were in row F in the stalls and I loved the old Theatre, it has atmosphere and soul, not sure what some of the other reviews are going on about. I'd go back and see another show there, no problem.

My friend forgot to bring his passport and one of the staff didn't let him enter the venue although he was not planning to drink. While my friend was asking his friend to send a copy of his passport, another staff called Surjeet Singh let him in by giving him a wristband proving that he can't buy drinks. Thus, we were able to make it to the concert on time!!!!

We saw the amazing and fabulous Lauren Daigle at the Enmore Theatre last night. She was outstanding but seriously let down by a smelly, old, dusty relic - a poor excuse for a venue. The seats creaked and moved and were very uncomfortable. Even though we were dead centre, midway back we couldn’t see the stage. The sound was ok but at times it made the rusty metal railings reverb in horrible ways. Terribly disappointing. Glad Miss LD did such a good job despite the horrid venue. The photo was taken when I got up and went to the toilet as I couldn’t see from where I sat.

Seeing a show at the Enmore when you have an option to go anywhere else is a mistake. During the January 17th Daniel Tosh comedy show at the small, hot, smelly, and dated (not even in a retro and cool way), security at this place proved they were as useful as lipstick on a pig. When a girl in front of me pulled her phone out they were on her in seconds but when a drunk started a fight with anyone around him and was throwing drinks everywhere? Nothing. When it was raised with the Head of Security they shrugged it off. Honestly, do yourself a favour and avoid at all costs.

Saw a show here last week, the sound seemed off for a lot of the concert but it did not detract from the general energy and atmosphere too badly. The inner architecture seemed outdated though this only added to its charm. Other than that, staff were nice and toilets were clean.
