    Sunny Kendwa Beach
One of the best beaches in Zanzibar. Mostly sunny and alive. Long sandy beach with crystal blue water and good service at Kendwa Rock Restaurant. U can find peace and also entertainment. Many sports activities and options for trips around Zanzibar. The sunsets are amazing..

    The best beach
Kendwa Beach in Zanzibar is the ultimate beach destination. It has everything you need, from lively bars and beach clubs to a variety of activities. If you're staying in Kendwa Beach, you can easily walk to all the attractions without needing a car. Just be cautious of overpriced vendors offering fruits, hair designs, and massages. Remember to negotiate, as prices are often negotiable. Enjoy the best beach in Zanzibar and have a fantastic time at Kendwa Beach!

    Ultimate beach experience
The widest beach on the island, crystal clear water and the centre for water sports and beach games. For best experience, hire a bed with a shade, to cover from the scorching heat of the sun and for security of personal belongings. It is most beautiful at low tide but you can swim all day.

    Beautiful beach
This is a very beautiful beach, the proverbial white-sand-turquoise-water variety, pleasant and not very crowded in January. Approaches from local males on the beach are few, polite and they give up quickly if not replied, as opposed to other places. Some of them are dressed in Maasai clothing which, according to the local guide, is not always justified and somewhat dilute the Maasai warrior legend. We had a good seafood lunch and drinks at Essence bar, which also provide sun lounges.

Kendwa and Nungwi on Zanzibar have the most beautiful beaches and crystal clear warm seas which are amongst the best in the world BUT they are marred by the constant harassment of tourists by the locals and the ‘Maasai’ who seek to exploit visitors. The worst incident being that of parading captive monkeys to attract the ignorant and exploit them for money. Tourists should be wise to the exploitation of wildlife and not encourage this practice.

Stunning beach, friendly locals. Lots of choice for places to eat, albeit most have the same menu options.
